March 14, 201016 yr The more I think about it, the more I like our bracket, especially against Texas. I must have forgotten that Rick Barnes is their coach. Add to that, no point guard and no consistency, and I think we can roll in that game as long as we control Hamilton and Bradley. ^Hamilton is one of the reasons I'm confident. He is going to shoot, and shoot, and shoot, and shoot....and he usually doesn't make very many. IMO he's one of the biggest problems Texas has had this year. Also people forget that Cal likes to use stuff like this in the tourney. He'll play the "people want us to lose because they made us play Texas in New Orleans" card and all should be good.

March 14, 201016 yr Think of the teams that did, or almost beat, Kentucky. South Carolina had a great, small, and quick guard in Devan Downey. Bobby Maze proved that he is a very good guard at distributing and getting into the lane. Dee Bost is a very fast guard that caused us troubles. Texas doesn't have any point guard.
March 14, 201016 yr Um did you forget about their best player? I know about James, but with the tempo Texas plays at and their inability to force a tempo on a team, I don't think he can beat Kentucky himself. Plus, I think defensively Kentucky can handle him.

March 14, 201016 yr What happened to Jai Lucas? Has his stock fallen that much? I believe so. From every thing that I read from message boards to writers in Texas, he is basically a pointless player on the team. A lot of people even question why he was even brought in.

March 14, 201016 yr Was that before or after the brackets came out? Both actually. KU 2/1 UK 3/1 Syracuse 4/1 and Duke 5/1 are the one seeds according to sportsbook.com
