Proud of our boys tonight. They left it all on the floor. You all make me proud to be a Mustang mom. Thanks to all of the coaches and announcers who have made my son the man he is today. You have been great to him and he will truly miss all of you.:ylsuper:

What a day. Lot of emotions for these Mustang kids all packed into one day. They played thier guts out, they have nothing to hang their heads about. Just what a long day.

The game was awesome. Lot of back and forth. I was hoping the 'Stangs would hold on, but it just wasn't meant to be. The seniors were amazing not only this entire year, but their whole careers. They will be missed for sure. They were definitely one of my most favorite Brossart teams to watch in quite some time. I wish you senior nothing but the best. Have goals and cross them off the list as you go. The Mustang Faithful love you guys!

Chris O'Hearns coaching decision was an absolute JOKE! I have never been an O'Hearn fan but what he did today makes me sick. Blueford has carried this team after everybody got hurt and didn't even see the court in the second half of region! Blueford got real close to ending his basketball career tonight by WATCHING the second half? Chris O'Hearn are you serious? Yes, you will say it was matchups but them guard also have to guard Blueford on the other end. Tonight he missed 1 shot and got the rebound and put it back after he missed it, the guys guarding him came up to his shoulders. That was a huge a mismatch. But now they are just going to use Blueford they could get by without him tonight so that is what they did. Just like if nobody had ever got hurt Blueford would of never seen the court. He isn't one of their "favorites." Yes, it is this awful and the fans even started a chant trying to get him put in the game. You best bet he will be playing a lot in that Clark Co. game tho(if both teams advance) because they will have to have his length to even have a shot. If any Mason Co. fan including you bigblueinsanity want to take up for O'Hearn on this then you need to take off your O'Hearn classes and wake up. I feel so sorry for the kid, as he was pretty much in tears on the bench as he was close to watching his career end. Chris O'Hearn again, YOU ARE A JOKE!

Wow! What happened to if you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything at all?

Such a contrast in posts between the Brossart posters, who lost, and the Mason County posters who won. Coach O'Hearn and the Mason County Royals basketball program deserve better than this rubbish.

On a side note, I heard on the radio that Mason Co. raised almost $25,000.00 tonight with the chili supper and silent auction for their team manager who is battling cancer. It sounds like their biggest accomplishment took place off the court and had nothing to do with basketball. Good luck to the Murphy family and get well Kenton!!!

Jacob Rieger finishes his career with 1280 career points - sixth on the all-time Brossart career scoring list. He was also elected the KABC 10th Region Player (Senior) of the Year, and will be playing college basketball.

Correction - Jake finishes his career with 1229, finishing sixth on the all-time BBHS Career scoring list.

Sorry bout that, I was reporting off of the top of my head, which is always a scary proposition.

Maybe you should go and tell him this personally, instead of flexing your internet muscles.

I think Coach O'Hearn is a good coach, with a really good staff. I'm sure he had his reasons to sit this player, and I'm sure his race/color had nothing to do with it.

Very disappointed at the coaching tonight, The blueford kid is one of the best players on the team and In my eyes the best player inside for the Royals. Only one not scared to play hard ball. He scored 6-8 points in first half and dont see the floor in 2nd half, Coach says it because he cant play Blueford and Setty at the same time in that kind of defense,(wow). Well I know plenty of coaches int he 10th region that would Play the Blueford kid any time,More to the game then shooting 3's. Much rather have the inside game of Blueford then the shooting of 3's outside.

Didn't your team win? It never ceases to amaze me how some folks put individual PT over the overall goal which is to win as a team.

Well, for some odd reason I dont believe you are a Royal fan.

I also can't understand why Blueford didn't see the floor in the second half. This kid can flat out play and is the best rebounder on the team. The only consolation is that he will be well rested for tomorrow night as should be Tyler Black. The Royals have an inside game, why not use it?

Best news of the night! Between the chili supper, silent auction, traditional auction, t-shirts, photo sales, plain ol' donations, etc. there was a lot going on. Lots of local business and individuals stepped up to the plate with their donations, and the entire community deserves credit for what was obviously a huge success.

Congratulations to Jake on a great career, hope to see you playing in college next season.

Congrats to the Mustangs on a good season and God Bless Mitch, his family, friends and loved ones. He will be missed by us all within the Brossart family.

I thought coach O'Hearn did a very nice job last night. He recognized the other team and what he needed to do to defeat them. He utilized his depth to wear out the Mustangs and made some nice changes on the match ups. Sorry that Blueford had to watch the game from the sidelines, but didn't the Royals win the second half and the game? Good luck to the Royals.

That's the best thing about coaching, you're darn if you do and you're darn if you don't. It's sure hard to please people.:dancingpa

Always hard to see the seniors go. Best of luck to all of them. Congrats to the Royals on the win.

It just isn't about last night, this has been his whole career. O'Hearn has just used him and only played him when they need him. Rhueben is the reason Mason Co. is where they are at. If Rhueben would not have stepped up Mason Co. probably wouldn't be too much over 500. They didn't need him last night so they didn't play him but Monday night they will need him if they want a shot so he will play him then. That isn't how you do a kid, and plenty of Mason Co. supporters are behind me. That was the talk after the game, what in the world was Rhueben doing on the bench during the whole second half.
