Mason County 51 Bishop Brossart 46

Featured Replies

It just isn't about last night, this has been his whole career. O'Hearn has just used him and only played him when they need him. Rhueben is the reason Mason Co. is where they are at. If Rhueben would not have stepped up Mason Co. probably wouldn't be too much over 500. They didn't need him last night so they didn't play him but Monday night they will need him if they want a shot so he will play him then. That isn't how you do a kid, and plenty of Mason Co. supporters are behind me. That was the talk after the game, what in the world was Rhueben doing on the bench during the whole second half.

I thought basketball was a team sport. The Royals won and out-played the Stangs in the 2nd half.

Maybe the player in question should consider wrestling, it is more of an indivdual activity.

Coach O'Hearn has won a State Title and I believe 3 10th regional titles. He knows what he is doing and is one of the top coaches in the state of Kentucky without a doubt. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not know basketball or has a personal grudge against the guy because their relative or friend did not get enough PT.

With the talent that he has had anybody could win a state championship. To say he is one of the best coaches in the state is funny. He was given the job because he will play little puppy dog and do what the administration tells him. He went from 8th grade coach to varsity, if he was one of the best coaches in the state I am pretty sure he would of never been coaching 8th grade in Mason Co. that late in his career. To tell you the truth he even messed up that 8th grade team with DARIUS MILLER, and got beat by Bracken Co.

Also, I cannot name ONE player that has played under him in the last 4 years that hasn't said he doesn't know what he is doing.

Snap,

You obviously have to have good players to win a title in any sport at any level. That particular Mason County team was nowhere near the talent level of the Mason County teams of the early 90's (no state tourney victories) or the Lofton-era teams (1 state title). Claiming that the head coach of not an overly talented team (only 1 D-1 player) had nothing to do with a state title shows you're not being objective.

And what about the Regional title last year when they upset Clark Co. who was clearly the better and more talented team? Was that just luck?

I am not a fan of Mason County but follow the 10th Region pretty closely and some of the Mason County "fans" can be a bit ridiculous at times and this is the perfect example.
