I believe the regional football games are played on someone's home field. Is that not right? I have never heard one complaint about the finals of the Regional in football having HCA. What is the difference?

Football play off games are played on someones home field but not the SAME teams field every year.

GS, I really don't think you can criticize the MC cheering section for anything. You say they should have been cheering for their team. Obviously, you didn't hear what was said to players from the GRC cheering section. There really can be no argument for this, it goes both ways when it comes to cheering sections. It is the nature of high school students. As for the spitting and pouring soft drinks on GRC's Bench.. Don't be ridiculous. I'm certain that if someone poured a soft drink on a coach, it would be seen and I'm certain cops would be notified. Also, why am I hearing about this just now, two nights after the ridiculous statement supposably happened? As for the left trophy and the jersey, I'm sure that it was a mistake and GRC accidently left it. I'm sure the MC administration will send both of them back to GRC as they should. The jersey back to GRC, fine. But perhaps send the trophy back to Fleming County:sssh::lol:

A. The student section that exclusively cheers for their team and doesn't have anything to say about the opposing team is a rare thing. CovCath comes closest to any group that I've seen.

 

2. It does strike me as curious that the "liquid incidents" are being alleged two days after the fact. Give it a couple more days and the Mason County student section (comprised primarily of middle-schoolers, by the way) will have sprayed napalm and lobbed hand grenades at the Clark County bench.

 

D. I would hope that you're correct regarding the trophy being left behind.

I don't get it why is Fleming county a feeder program for GRC? Maybe Barnard from Lexington last year or the Setty boys from Ohio could enlighten me as to what you are insinuating!:sssh:

I can't believe all this back and forth about the tourney and the two finalists.

 

Facts.

1. Team with most points wins the game, and if the the team with the most points is the best team, then the best team wins.

2. I don't care if you are the best team or worst team in the district or region, when you play at home you have the advantage. Now how many points is that advantage worth, who knows, regardless of what some of you think it is an advantage, and if you don't think so then you are STUPID.....

3. Are there other options in the 10th---Yes there is. So there is no reason to have it at one place all the time. I think those days are over regardless.

4. Does Mason, Montgomery, and Campbell County put on a good regional tourneys--yes!!!! Can they improve? YES!!!

 

So lets agree to agree or disagree. The permanent home of the 10th is no longer Maysville, and those in Mason should learn to accept that and stop crying about it. We all love basketball, and we all love our teams. Lets be happy they have great places to play and move on to the Sweet sixteen.
