March 3, 201016 yr Another example of things only getting worse as you progress through life. First the Kentucky Post and now ICN-6. It's basically five (markets) for the price of one for Insight. I'm sure there is demand for a full-time weather station based in Louisville, and a state-wide sports program in lieu of our great local coverage and exposure. I guess that pretty soon 5, 9, 12, and Fox will all be doing a single "statewide" news and sports broadcast out of Columbus. How sad!!! Pretty soon TVG and HRTV will be the only stations I watch on TV.

March 3, 201016 yr What a sad day. I've been watching the Don Weber shows since 1992! I still love to come home on Friday nights to watch the highlights of the football games. What a shame! I, too, will be getting rid of Insight if this goes down.

March 3, 201016 yr WOW!!! That would be sad. I have some really fond memories of INC6. Back in the day when it was Tom Gamble, Richard Skinner, and Don on the football show, they used to take live calls into their program. There was this fella that used the name TedFromVillaHills that called the program and ranted and raved over who Gamble was going to pick that week. Well TFVH just kept it up and Gamble finally pick a team and proceeded to tell him he was a little "crazy" and "frustrated". Must have been a former High School wannabe star. LOL! So what is the reason on doing this?
March 3, 201016 yr This is really a shame. Weber and "crew" do a great job. But wait, we now get 24/7 weather from across the Commonwealth. It'll just be great to know when it is raining in Bowling Green! Seriously, do you need anything more than the Weather Channel if you are that interested in weather? If Weber gets the axe, that's a real loss for ICN and for the N. Ky. community. And you watch, despite this cost-cutting move (I don't buy the "better programming for our customers" spin one bit), soon ICN will increase their price again, adding to what is already a pretty outrageous monthly charge. I think it might be time to go shopping for a replacement to Insight.
March 3, 201016 yr Sad! This is one thing about cable boards losing too much control, cable companies can do whatever they want now. It used to be the cable company HAD to provide so much local programming. Don't think this will make your rates go down, they will have plenty of excusses to keep them as they are, and to go higher! The ONLY reason we have kept Insight is for the local programing, ICN and the access channels. I would like to know who was involved in the "research" on more weather channels, who the heck wants another TV weather channel? Insight needs to be very careful in NKY, with Cincinnati Bell moving in with their cable TV, they will have a hard fight as it is, but start dropping local programming, then why keep Insight? Maybe it would be wise for Cincinnati Bell to look into hiring the people from ICN6 and have a local station of their own, taking even more clients away from Insight.
March 3, 201016 yr Insight customer support says Don Weber is moving to Channel 2. The article says it hasn't been determined. Seems to be a disconnect.
March 3, 201016 yr Insight is probably getting thin to put themselves in a good position to be acquired by someone like Comcast. Soon tv will be Comcast, Directv and Dish. Eventually, Comcast and Directv. IMHO.
