Insight to drop local programming

Featured Replies

Lets be honest. Do you think Insight is dropping NKY Magazine because they're making too much advertising revenue off of it?
No, because it isn't important to them.

Making money is not important to a business? Am I being punked?

No, you're just not getting what people are saying. If you read the article, you'll see that Insight feels they are cutting costs by eliminating this local programming.

To explain more simply what I meant: They're not taking into account the needs of their customer base. That is a recipe for failure for any business.

More so than losing money hand over fist to produce programing very few people watch and advertisers don't come close to making up for covering the cost???

Like I said, I don't think it was wise; that's all.

What are the "needs?" Is it Insight's responsibility to lose money on local programming to fulfill said needs?

Do you truly believe there is going to be an exodus of the base over to satellite? No chance.

I have had DirectTV and I now have Insight. Dropping the local programming will have no bearing on my keeping Insight. Which I will.
