Tibbs is the best post player I have seen this year.

 

Sanker is able to take over a game with speed, defense, ball handling and can score in bunches when hot. When she plays well, Brossart is a tuff draw.

I could not agree with you more, if some of the other players can step up, then that will take some of the pressure off of Lauren. Last year when the Lady Eagles drew St. Pat as their first round regional opponent, the whole team stepped it up last year and was able to get the first round win against a very tough and highly favored St. Pat's team. Hopefully, this year that will be the case as well.

The games are at the Fieldhouse, which is not Mason's home floor. They've played maybe two games there this year.

I agree. That is why the 39th district should be played there every year. There is plenty of room and parking. Bracken has a nice gym but that is it.

Tibbs is the best I have seen this year.

 

She is the best I have seen too. Saw her play shortly after Christmas, and she was dominant. Had about 30 points and probably grabbed 15-20 boards against a quality team. Has a very nice shooting stroke for a player her size. No disrespect to the other players mentioned, but the discussion of 10th region best player should be a short one. The quality of schools recruiting Tibbs shows you who that player is.

The background behind the goals is much different and will have a slight difference for Mason County, who I assume will get to practice in there some this week at least, while others do not.

Tibbs and Sanker are apples and oranges.

 

Tibbs is a complete post-player and Sanker is a fantastic guard.

 

Both are the best in each category.

You could pick out 30 different scenarios on how this plays out and they wouldn't surprise me. Very good and balanced region that should produce some very good first round games.

 

There are 7 teams here that I could see making a run into the championship game. Not saying all 7 have easy roads but they could get hot and have the personnel to make the run.

 

I feel for Nicholas as GRC's pressure with both Rogers is tremendous. That has to give GRC the favorite EXCEPT their draw.

 

They have to play the 6:30 game on Tuesday night, I assume will stay for at least some of the next game, from what I am told a long drive back to Winchester. Get up for school the next day and make the long drive back to Maysville to play Wednesday night.

 

With a system that they run, pressure, run and pressure some more. Might lose some legs on Wednesday night. And then might have to play a Mason County team that will not be out as late even though they play the late game.

What's the scouting report on Pendleton County? Are they a young team? Didn't they Bracken close in the regular season?

Good point. This is one of the advantages of playing on your home court/home town. Anyone that doesn't acknowledge this, usually is the recipient of playing at home.

Am I the only one that gets tired of MASON COUNTY???? They act like they need to host EVERYTHING!! The atmosphere at Bracken last week was unreal. The more crowded the better!! They were heard complaining about having to stand in line to use the restroom for goodness sake. I've had to do the same in that BIG, ALMIGHTY, fieldhouse before too. And that pep section and the things they were saying, was classless!! I am suprised the big boys of MASON COUNTY allowed that! I think the districts should just let them host every sport, and give them a lead in every game played for doing so and then maybe they will ALL be happy and not cry and complain about having to travel somewhere else!!! :puke::notworthy:
