What Beer/Wine are you are tasting right now?

In approximately 10 minutes, it'll be a Victory Hop-Devil Ale. In the past year, I've gone from despising IPA's to thoroughly enjoying them. Don't know how the transformation happened, it just did.

The IPA is certainly an acquired taste. The more I drink of them the more I have began to like them. A buddy of mine went from no caring for them much to drinking IPA almost exclusively over the course of this summer.

There's a really good pizza place in Evansville that has their own micro brews. They have a really good IPA. It was the first. IPA I ever tried and really liked it. Since I've tried Dog Fish Head and Sam Adams Rebel, not a big fan of either. Probably won't try any more.

To me Turoni's beers are kinda hit or miss. I agree that their IPA is pretty good. I also like the Honey Blonde Ale pretty good. Some of the others are just OK in my opinion.

Which Dog Fish Head did you have. Some are more potent that others. I like the DFH 60 pretty good.

Agree in Turonis. I use to like the honey blonde but last time I was there I got the sampler to try all of them and didn't really care for the honey blonde. They had a seasonal that was just awful. Their stout was pretty tasty though. Have you had Carson's honey blonde? It is really good.

i tried the 60 min. It was awful but for what it cost I won't be going back down that path. CBK's in Henderson has the 90 and sometimes the 120. Might give them a go next time I'm in there.

It's Craft Beer Week in Louisville so there's all sorts of local stuff and special editions and deals being run by bars all over the place.

Last night I had a BBC Louisville Lager for the first time. Meh. It was a decent lager but it has to be really special for me to pay premium craft pricing on a lager.

I also had a West Sixth Cocoa Porter. Now this is more my style. A little lighter than I expected from a porter which was interesting. But great flavor. Not bad for something from Lexington...

Kentucky Owl bourbon the newest release of a very old brand if you can get your hands on one of the 1506 bottles made do not pass it up its incredible!

I recently returned from Myrtle Beach where I fell in love with LoneRider's, Sweet Josie Brown Ale. It's great

I've got a wide variety of Oktoberfest Beers here at the apartment right now. I've had Great Lakes', Shiner's, Sam Adams', and Hofbrau's, and Paulaner's. They're all good...so so so so good.

I've heard of that one too. Who makes it?

Had a Southern Tier IPA on nitro at Beerworks in Lexington last night. Very good!

Had a few Founder's Porters at the Odessa House of Beers last night. Nice.

Mad Tree, Happy Amber. MT is a top notch brewery

Somebody was telling me about that not too long ago. It's made privately by a restaurant owner or something like that, if memory serves.

Fall is the best time of year, when it comes to seasonal beers.

I know Blue Moon isn't really a craft beer, but I stumbled on to their Harvest Pumpkin Ale last fall, and it is FANTASTIC. On the surface, Pumpkin Ale doesn't sound good, but it is quality. Crafted with pumpkin and spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. Very good.
