Local liquor store got several cases of Hopslam and I've somehow ended up with a case. Been drinking almost nothing else since then. I'm glad it's 10% ABV because the price hits the wallet pretty hard.

First year in a while I haven't scored a sixer of HopSlam.

Bowman Field Wine & Spirits currently has one less case in their stack. I'm sipping on a bottle right now.

We'll file this under "I have issues". Drinking my last one right now.

Had an Anchor Steam last night at Hollywood Casino. Very good.

Downing a few Victory Hop Ranch.

12 pack of Fat Tire sitting in the truck now for when I get home.

I need a game plan. Somebody tell me what to drink and where to drink it.

Tomorrow is light beer and basketball day (going to a bar for the entirety of the Dayton/Louisville doubleheader; I should be a walking disaster by 4 pm), so tonight I could go for something else.

Any recommendations? Anybody know of a place in Louisville that's got something exciting on tap right now?

I mean, Sergio's ALWAYS has something exciting on tap.

I'd offer to meet up with you somewhere, but unfortunately I've got to go to an elementary school fundraiser/auction night up in Oldham County at the school one of my wife's friends teaches at. My one respite is that apparently it's very entertaining getting to watch the semi-privileged moms and dads make drunken fools of themselves.

I agree with that.

I like Sergio's. Used to go there all the time. Maybe tonight's a good night to put it back in the regular rotation.

Here's the tap list for a charity event the gf and I are headed to next weekend:

Bell's "Hopslam" (Imperial IPA) 10% abv no explanation needed

West Sixth "Lemongrass Wheat" (pre release. Look for it in cans soon) 5.75% abc

St Bernardus "Abt 12" (Belgian Quadrupel) 10.5%

Flat 12 "Pinko23" (Imperial Stout aged in Pappy van Winkle 23 barrels) 10.3% From Indianapolis, one of the newest breweries available in KY. Look for a new brewpub from them just across the river in Jeffersonville later this year.

Kentucky Ale Black Mountain IPA (black IPA) 7.5% abv Each year Alltech sponsors a home brew contest, the winner gets his/her beer brewed on a larger scale. this was the winner

Lore Brewing "Doppelbock" 8.3% From Danville, KY, one of the newest breweries in Kentucky.

Schlafly "Bourbon Barrel Ale" 7% abv From St Louis, a very sweet and malty take on the bourbon barrel beers.

Evil Twin Brewing "Imperial Biscotti Break Natale, Pretty Please with a cherry on top" 11.5% A big long name to go along with a big robust sweet porter brewed with sour cherries.

The catered menu and bourbon list will be released later. Christmas has come VERY early for fkyw!

This one sounds interesting to me. I really liked the West 6th IPA, and wheat beers are probably my favorite overall.

This six pack of Newcastle Brown Ale has treated me pretty good tonight.

I had the Lemon Wheat last week at a tasting. Honestly I think it might be my favorite West 6th offering. A good one for summer.
