December 13, 201312 yr New Albion Ale....Just started brewing again in 2013 for the first time in over 30 years with the help of Sam Adams founder/CEO Jim Koch. Was the very first craft beer brewed in the U.S. apparently. Really good stuff IMO.
December 13, 201312 yr I'm really missing the beers I had while in Germany a few months ago. One of my favorites I had there was Herbsthäuser Edel-Pils.
December 14, 201312 yr Went to Party Town tonight and for $2.00 tasted quite a few beers. Whom ever told me about Bo & Luke was correct, as we purchased a growler of it to take home, as well as the Left Hand Stout! BTW when "The Boss" and I walked back to the tasting area, a BGP's member said HI and I honestly had no idea who you were, Just wondering!
December 14, 201312 yr I'm with you on the Great Lakes Christmas Ale. I did drink a sixer but I likely won't pursue it again. I checked out 8Ball on opening day and it's smaller than I envisioned. I also thought their prices were steep. I love the smaller feel of Party Town, they have a great staff and usually have some great deals at the growler stand. If CCH doesn't have a game on 12/14 you should make it up to Friday Night Flights. Against the Grain will be there, and if you like barrel aged you would love Bo and Luke. It was me.

I don't know what it is, but this is "stout weather" for me.
December 14, 201312 yr ^ Absolutely stout weather. Porters to a lesser extent. Against the Grain had their 70k Milk Stout on tap earlier this week. It was delicious. I love that place.

I love that place.its just REALLY hard for me to pick a porter over a stout in most cases. But I've definitely moved on past IPA summer.
December 14, 201312 yr Drinking a traditional stout, Murphy's, right now. Used to love them in Europe.
December 15, 201312 yr ^ Absolutely stout weather. Porters to a lesser extent. Against the Grain had their 70k Milk Stout on tap earlier this week. It was delicious. I love that place. I had hoped to fill a Growler at Party Town and it blew right before I could request a fill.
December 15, 201312 yr Friend told me about a stout. Moloka Mocha?? Any one tried this? Or even heard of it?
December 16, 201312 yr Friend told me about a stout. Moloka Mocha?? Any one tried this? Or even heard of it? I had never heard of it but it is a Three Floyd's product, which is a good thing. Beer Advocate with a "92" so I'll keep my eye open for this one
December 16, 201312 yr Speaking of wine' date=' I am hosting a wine tasting party at my house this weekend. How many wines should I do?[/quote'] Oh, the carnage!
December 21, 201312 yr I really liked the Bo and Luke from Against the Grain Brewery that I had at the Party Town in Florence last Friday that was on Tap! Just wondering but have any of you eaten at the Against the Grain Brewery Restaurant in Louisville? Honestly if the food is good, a short Hour and a half drive wouldn't be too much trouble to drink some Bo and Luke and bring home a couple of Growlers. They do fill up Growlers don't they?
