December 7, 201312 yr Had a Growler of Bell Christmas Ale tonight, both "The Boss" and I enjoyed it. Purchased it from Party Town in Florence. They are really great there and will let you sample a beer before you purchase a Growler. Link 3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 cduncan14 (102) - Sandy Springs, Georgia, USA - DEC 5, 2013 Poured from a bottle. Some malty hay notes and grassy hops and a bit of a yeasty smell in the aroma. It’s an amber color with a very fluffy, lingering off-white head. It’s a malty-sweet flavor akin to a white peach or a mango, with only enough grassy hop flavor to balance. This is not your typical, spiced-up Christmas Ale. It’s very subtle and would probably be just as appropriate in June as it is in December. I guess I’m slightly disappointed that it’s not a bit more "Christmas-y", but it’s plenty tasty in it’s own right.
December 7, 201312 yr I have several Christmas beers waiting in the back of the beer fridge for the next couple weeks. Really looking forward to them: Bells Christmas Ale Great Lakes Christmas Ale Sam Adams Holiday Pack [Old Fezziwig Ale... *swoon*]

Really looking forward to them: Bells Christmas Ale Great Lakes Christmas Ale Sam Adams Holiday Pack [Old Fezziwig Ale... *swoon*] We didn't much like the Great Lakes Christmas Ale but did enjoy the Bells Christmas Ale. "The Boss" and I drove over the Licking River last Saturday and visited the New Ei8gh Ball Brewery located in the Party Source. Nice and very large selections of craft beers (42 on Tap) and a new fangle way of filling your Growler.
December 7, 201312 yr What all is in the sampler? I'm currently drinking Sam Adams White Christmas 2 each of Boston Lager, Winter Lager, Old Fezziwig Ale, Juniper IPA, White Christmas, and Cherry Chocolate Bock.
December 7, 201312 yr I bought a six pack of Great Divides "Hibernation Ale". If you like a malt bomb on a cold night I suggest it. It's an 8% Old Ale.

I did drink a sixer but I likely won't pursue it again. I checked out 8Ball on opening day and it's smaller than I envisioned. I also thought their prices were steep. I love the smaller feel of Party Town, they have a great staff and usually have some great deals at the growler stand. If CCH doesn't have a game on 12/14 you should make it up to Friday Night Flights. Against the Grain will be there, and if you like barrel aged you would love Bo and Luke.

December 7, 201312 yr 2 each of Boston Lager, Winter Lager, Old Fezziwig Ale, Juniper IPA, White Christmas, and Cherry Chocolate Bock. If they sold 12 packs of Old Fezziwig Ale, I'd have five of them right now. It's a shame they include all those beers I don't really want...

Haven't been to one of their Beer tasting yet but 100% agree with you on their staff, outstanding!!! We don't have a game on Friday the 13th and "The Boss" and I just might be dropping in!
