September 24, 201510 yr I've heard of the greatness of BCS but I've never ran into a bottle. 3rd St. Tap House in Bardstown has it if you happen to be in the area. They have a solid selection. A brewpub has been long-needed in Bardstown. Just wish AA would've been down with it when I suggested it to him years ago. He makes some good brew.

September 24, 201510 yr Are they brewing? He hopes to be, but he's going to have to do it off-site as he couldn't get a variance for the historical district zoning.
September 24, 201510 yr I had a mix of Schlafly's bourbon barrel ale and Guinness today at Mellow Mushroom. Interesting.On a whim I had a black and blue the other day (Guinness + Blue Moon). I was surprised, in this case the sum is most definitely better than the parts.
September 25, 201510 yr I'm currently having a Boulevard Funky Pumpkin. It's a sour pumpkin ale. Very different, but quite good.

October 2, 201510 yr Stout season is here boys!!! aka the only thing even remotely cool about this time of the year!
October 2, 201510 yr Stout season is here boys!!! I've never acquired much of a taste for Stouts. I'm a big fan of the Oktoberfest style beers. I'm going to try to hold onto that season as long as possible. BTW, Oktoberfest season seems to mean that stores are overrun with pumpkin beers as well. For me most of them are ok at best. I did have one a little while back that stood out. Boulevard Funky Pumpkin. It is a sour pumpkin flavored beer. Really unique compared to anything else I've ever had.
