I recently heard a BJ's will be coming to Florence. Is it a pretty nice establishment?

$17.50 a six pack! ouch!!

Enjoying a nice Anchor Bock Beer right now. Very dark, medium to full bodied, quite tasty!

Drinking it as we speak. Worth every penny I paid for it! The only other beer that I can somewhat compare to it is Lagunitas Brown Shugga'.

Neither. Been on a Burnette's Orange Vodka kick all winter.

Bourbon? I can taste a difference bt the good and bad.

Beer? Same

Wine? Same.

Vodka? Can't tell one difference bt the $7 Burnette's or the high end stuff like Ciroc or the Goose.

I wouldn't give my dog Burnettes Vodka...

Worth every penny. Two of these at 10% give you more bang than four American domestics and it tastes so good. The hop bitterness and honey taste totally drowns out the alcohol which is amazing since the gravity is so high.

I've been jonesing about 3Floyds Dark Lord day until I found out tickets go for over $100 on the black market. I did some research and found that Founders has a festival similar for their Kentucky Breakfast Stout. I had never heard of it but it sounds amazing. Anyone ever had the opportunity to drink one of these?

Yes, Founders had a "tap takeover" at Molly Malone's in Covington during Beerfest last year. So many flavors come out at different intervals of the drinking process. They "floated" that keg in about 5 minutes. I was lucky to get one.

You generally can't tell the difference in Vodkas until the morning after. The higher-end Vodkas do a better job in their distilling process of filtering out the congeners, which is what causes your hangover.

I must different...the only thing that really gives me hangovers is beer. Granted, a long night on a bottle of bourbon or vodka will also. But, considering the fact that in my older years I now need two days to recovery after a night out, instead of one...I don't "tie one off" like I used to as is. lol

I thought you would post a reply about vodka. I remember a post from years ago concerning the minimal difference between top shelf and the rest.

A four pack of SN Bigfoot Barley wine. SN has a nice product line. Just last week I had a bomber of Heavy Seas Mutiny Fleet. It's a barleywine aged in bourbon barrels and it's outstanding.
