What Beer/Wine are you are tasting right now?

Went to a homebrewing class at Listermann Brewing Company this past Tuesday. I had a Wet Beagle IPA - it's a FANTASTIC fresh hopped IPA. I genuinely might even go out on a limb and say that it's my favorite IPA that I've ever had. I also had their resurrection of Wiedemann beer, which they've apparently obtained the rights to brew. ...it tasted very good as well, although it wasn't anything like the stuff my mom bought in grenade bottles that I used to sneak out of the basement fridge.

Have you tried Cincinnatus??? It's glorious! Imperial Stout, they get them from Buffalo Trace. Not a big fan of Buffalo Trace, but this beer is GREAT!

Tried a ST Louis beer - Schlafly IPA. Good beer.

By the way if you're ever in STL looking for a good place to hang out go to the Loop by Wash U. Cool area.

Went into a vintage record store and a dude was wearing a James Harris #12 Rams jersey. Keeping it totally vintage.

I'm a big fan of their beer. I love their APA, IPA and Summer Lager.

Try their newest, it's called Chickow. It's a high gravity Brown Ale. I'm not a huge fan of malty beers but this malt bomb is pretty tasty. I like the Wiedeman, it has more body than the other light pilsners on the market.

They apologized at the beginning of the class because they said they didn't have too many of their selections available on tap at that time. They had 4...the two I mentioned, plus their Losantiville Pre-Prohibition style which was good, but wasn't anything fantastic to me, and then a honey pale that didn't sound all that great to me. I'll definitely have to check out the Cincinnatus and the Chickow when I get a chance, though. They sound great!

Had the new Schlafly Tasmanian IPA. Very good if you like citrus hops.

Picked up Dundee Octoberfest. 2.99 a 6 pk at Jungle Jims!!

The Milwuakee's Best of craft beer. Still not to bad though.

Southern Tier Pumking is the best pumpkin beer I've ever had. Yard's makes a General Washington's Tavern Porter which is pretty solid, but I also liked the name.

Have a growler of that in the fridge. I know it smells great!

Pumking is the best and there isn't anything else close...

Gotta admit...I'm not much for pumpkin beer on the whole. I honestly haven't had one in years, but I'm just not interested in the sweet tones that they have.

For .50 a bottle, it'll do.

I typically don't like them either. But Southern Tier actually has a pumpkin taste and not all that sweet stuff. Definitely worth a shot if you've never had it.

Well I certainly think I could have my arm twisted into giving it another shot....or bottle.
