September 3, 201214 yr Right now......7:11 pm on Labor day......... Sitting in the garage that I just cleaned out, with the door open, listening to the rain pound down, enjoying a Pacifico (no lime....guy code, I don't fruit my beer). Discovered Pacifico when the driver we hired to take me and Mrs. Oldtimebaseball....also 84, from the Cabo airport to our Resort.... and he had a cooler of cold ones waiting for us for the ride there. I like them better than the other Mexican imports.
September 4, 201214 yr Witmer Citra Blonde. I'll have to keep this one in mind during pool season. It's light with a crisp hops taste. I love their Drifter Pale Ale.
September 4, 201214 yr Have been visiting relatives in the Quad Cities area, and my cousin had some goodies from the New Glarus Brewery in Wisconsin. Very good stuff.
September 14, 201214 yr Went to a spirit sampler tonight: Willett 21-year-old (amazing) Noah's Mill (damned good) Rowan's Creek (ehhhhh) Temptation Rye (not bad, actually) (I know I tried a couple more, but those names aren't with me now ...) Evan Williams Single Barrel (one of my favorites, and highly recommended) Larceny bourbon (new brand, apparently, and not bad) Several Budweisers Couple Newcastles Couple Stellas

Willet is becoming a personal fave of mine.
September 15, 201214 yr I would love to try the Willett 21-year old. Willet is becoming a personal fave of mine. That 21yo Willett is fantastic, amazing, outstanding, and every other superlative I can think of. Wow. Silky smooth.
September 16, 201214 yr To celebrate the Cincy/Cleveland game I purchased the Great Lakes sampler 12 pack. I will enjoy Cleveland's finest while watching the worst they have to offer.
September 16, 201214 yr Friday night I had Southern Tier Pumking and Goose Island Sofie. Both quite unique but very good. Pumking is my hands down favorite pumpkin beer.
September 16, 201214 yr I have to say Great Lakes has a great product at a good cost. So far I've had Burning River (Pale ale rated 93), Edmund Fitzgerald Ness (96 rated Porter) and a Dortmunder Gold (99 rated Lager) and the Lake Erie Monster (DIPA with 89 rating). I still have the Elliott Ness (99 rated Amber). For the price these are hard to beat.
