What Beer/Wine are you are tasting right now?

New Holland - Dragon's Milk.

I had a sample of this last week and talking about a taste explosion. It bombards the palate. New Holland just came out with a few new bombers and all are pretty good. They have a Wit, Farmhouse, Black IPA and a few others of note. Good brewing going on in Michigan.

Sipping on some Yuma Lupa Licious brewed by Short's Brewing. An IPA out of what do you know Elk Rapids, MI.

A friend of mine brought a pack of Bitter American Extra Pale Ale by the 21st Amendment Brewery to my 4th of July cookout yesterday. It was honestly the best new pale that I've tried in a LOOOONG time. It's not currently distributed in Kentucky, but you can get it in Ohio (about a mile from my office).

Redwood Creek Pinot Grigio. I prefer reds but these chilled whites are pretty refreshing during the summer.

Had a Bengali Tiger IPA from Six Point this week. Solid.

Avery Brewing's IPA. It is very good. Highly recommend 2 of these on a hot day. Anymore than that and you are dRuNk.

The wife and I had our first date night since the arrival of our baby and we had a good time. First hit the Party Town Friday Night Flights. On the menu, 10 very good brews which included a Hopslam, Three Floyd's Arctic Panzer Wollf and Three Floyd's Apocalypse Cow (double IPA with lactose) sample. Went to Mainstrausse and had a glass of Angel's Envy which was great. Proceeded to CocknBull and had a WC IPA. Then on to Keystone, finishing with Bell's two heart ale. Good times visiting the old stomping grounds as an old man.

Just got home from a night at The Outlook Inn in Louisville where I had a few pints of Falls City Beer. It's pretty solid but would be excellent if they could get the price around town down another 50 cents or so.

Enjoying a Six Point, Resin, which is an imperial IPA. Pretty good stuff and a good story about a homebrewer that made it big in the brew game.

Today, moonshine. We are in gatlinburg and at the moonshine store. Free samples. I think I tried all flavors at least 2 times today.

Is that a Lowenbrau glass?

Is that a Lowenbrau glass?

Nope...it's an Ommegang chalice. That's their rampant lion logo on the glass (much like the Lowenbrau lion logo).

Side note: I don't like chalice glasses. Too fancy for a drink like beer.
