February 7, 201016 yr When FF was in Afghanistan, he was gone for 18 months. I saw him 3 times that whole time. 2 weeks being the longest time he was home. It was rough, and with 2 children. You are truly a special woman and FF is truly a special man.
February 7, 201016 yr My wife took a vacation with her sister for two weeks the first year we were married when I couldn't get away from work. It was the longest two weeks of my life, and I told her no more vacations without me. That was 36 years ago, and we haven't spent a night away from each other since then.

February 8, 201016 yr Married 20 years...after we were married for one year we were without each other for 6months....LONG six months.....PH was able to come home a couple of times for a couple of days. Since then, two weeks when my mom had her breast cancer. Then, when I worked and was on call and such....two days several times...on call sucks when you are a counselor and it is a full moon. Some don't believe in the full moon theory, trust me..I do!

February 9, 201016 yr Since I have been married, the longest time I have been away from my wife for an extended stay was about 4 weeks. I was in Oregon several years ago for a 4 week stint.
