February 6, 201016 yr With the job I have right now, I'm based out of Memphis, but travel over a lot of the country (OK, TX, WS, IL, IN, MD, and etc.). I am currently on a stretch where I wont' see my lady friend for abou 7 weeks. I was just wondering, what's the longest some of you have been from your significant other? I'd imagine someone with military experience would be the longest.
February 6, 201016 yr I went about 4 weeks over a summer. We had a most difficult time during that stretch. I can happily say we are still together and better than ever, especially right after that long stretch. We've been together about 18 months, so not big time but getting serious. :lol:

February 6, 201016 yr I was living in St. Louis and my wife was here in Richmond. It would be sometimes 3 or 4 months before we saw each other. Of course this was before we were married.
February 6, 201016 yr In my nearly forty years of marriage to my wonderful wife, the longest I have been away from her, was around two and a half week for job training in 1976. Since them maybe two, three nights for work maybe a couple of times. Funny but without my wife sleeping next to me, I don't sleep very well and in fact I have turned down job offers when I was younger, that required a lot of travel!

February 6, 201016 yr When FF was in Afghanistan, he was gone for 18 months. I saw him 3 times that whole time. 2 weeks being the longest time he was home. It was rough, and with 2 children.
February 7, 201016 yr Married 36 year. Hubbie has been gone to Florida playing golf. On his way home now. Been gone 2 weeks.
February 7, 201016 yr 7 months, but it was before we were really serious. Mine was about the same, she was in KY and I was in Nevada fighting wildfires. I still go out of time from time to time, but not even near as long. It's tough, and it takes a special, special woman.
