January 28, 201016 yr  Now that UK is relevant again, he's back to his old bag of tricks... It's not much fun to kick a dog on the side of the road that just got hit by a semi... :thumb:
January 28, 201016 yr It's not much fun to kick a dog on the side of the road that just got hit by a semi... :thumb: ZING!!
January 28, 201016 yr Where did I say that? Simply mocking the notion that it can't be UK fans doing this, and has to be some evil conspiracy set to turn the players against the fans by outside sources. Hilarious... If thats the case, I agree. It COULD be other fans, but its highly unlikely. Just stupid UK fans, no different than any other team.
January 28, 201016 yr :lol: *News Flash* UK fans are crazy. This is not the first time something along these lines has happened, and I promise it won't be the last. This is not big news.
January 28, 201016 yr :lol: *News Flash* UK fans are crazy. This is not the first time something along these lines has happened, and I promise it won't be the last. This is not big news. No. No. No. It was fans from other teams. No doubt about it... :thumb:
January 28, 201016 yr Now we need to figure out what fan base would organize such a monstrosity. Louisville? UNC? IU? Duke. Has to be Duke. It could only be UK's biggest rival...
January 28, 201016 yr The players are nice enough to add fans so people should be respectful. I don't have any of the UK players on my facebook right now, except Darius Miller because I played against him a few times in HS. Fans like this make me want to stop being a UK fan. That's pathetic. What gives a person the idea that they can attack anyone in any way?
January 28, 201016 yr No. No. No. It was fans from other teams. No doubt about it... :thumb: :ylsuper:
January 28, 201016 yr This thread is about UK. Keep it on topic, or the discussion will end very soon! This will be the only warning.
January 28, 201016 yr As long as they are undefeated I guess... Just read Rockmom's post. This is disappointing, but not shocking. The fans have too much access to the players with social networking sites. Sometimes I wish the facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc. would just go away. Edited January 28, 201016 yr by ColonelCrazy
January 28, 201016 yr On a similar note, I was shocked at a guy I found (on Twitter) who was sending messages to Bengals like "Thanks for nothing. Another wasted season in Cincinnati" and other negative messages after the Jets playoff loss. Quan Cosby responded to him and said "Hey! Please don't send me any more messages and /or unfriend me. Thanks!" It's amazing how social networking sites can be abused like this. Most, if not all, people who send these messages wouldn't have the cajones to say it to them in person. Nor would they be able to catch a pass, hit a jump shot, or break a tackle. But, when they log online, they become somebody else...
January 28, 201016 yr Coming from the guy who turned on his football coach as soon as he found out he was leaving for greener pastures. Classic. Apples and anchovies and you know it. Telling blatant lies to anyone who will listen and losing a game are not one in the same. This is, however, the 3rd UC reference in a UK thread aimed at me today, and this one directly after a warning from a mod. Just sayin...... :idunno:
January 29, 201016 yr With the size and passion of Big Blue Nation, there are bound to be some idiots. I wish they didn't claim UK. At least 18%.......wow....so funny.
January 29, 201016 yr These guys are celebrities, and they know it! They are also old enough to know that if they have a website, or on a website where people can leave comments, they are leaving themselves wide open for anyone to say anything they want, good or bad. If you are in the public eye, you need to try and not take everything so seriously if they are bad mouthing you, no matter how wrong those people may be. Someone mentioned how Patterson is a junior, and should know by now not to let things like this bother him, and should help guide the younger players with this situation, and others. Within the year they will more than likely be playing in the NBA, are they going to expect everyone to be 100% supportive and that no one will say or do anything to them? If people know that they have rabbit ears, they will hear a lot more abuse. No one can say for sure they these people were actually UK fans, I am not sure how many negative comments were said, or what was said, but no one can say for sure if they are fans or not, more than likely at least some of them are. And it's not only at UK that this stuff happens. I recall about 4 or 5 years ago tOSU lost a football game, and the next day the receiver who dropped a pass late in the game received a death thread. Ticked off fan? Possibly. Someone who is not a fan making the tOSU fans look bad? It's possible, we just don't know for sure. Anytime the public has the chance to voice their opinion you will find at least a few very negative comments, downright hateful comments, as well as comments that make you wonder when the heck is that person thinking? Just look on any news outlets website where people can leave comments, some very sad, angry and stupid people out there. Having said all of that, these sites are not going away, if a celebrity is on there they need to learn to ignore negative comments and don't let them effect you, and don't show it, as if you do then the non fans will really let you have it next time around if they know they can get under your skin. It's nice that these players or coaches let people be a part of them and their lives, but if they are going to let people get to them, they need to turn off the auto add feature.
