Angelina has redeeming attributes that 'ol Pat and Danny don't have.

I think (but do not know), that Angelina is pretty apolitical. Her concerns are humanitarian, not political, IMO. She hasn't really asserted herself politically, pretty much concerning herself with addressing and pressuring many politically diverse entities to assist in humanitarian efforts. I think she gets thrown in with politically active celebrities because she is such a well-known, and previously controversial personality.
