DO you think the turn out at WKU was better because so many WKY teams made the finals this year?

It's was ok but the Press box is crap! Prefer it back in Louisville.

I agree. Press box is very bad. Parking was odd. Perhaps there was no cost because there was no organization involved.

 

I think EKU should get a shot. I do think Louisville is too big for the feel of a championship HS game.

 

WKU or EKU are just right.

To far for some that could not get off in time to make it. Sounds like WKU was nice but I'd rather have it in Louisville.

WKU was much better than PJCS for high school games. Hope it stays in Bowling Green for years to come.

It will never be at EKU as long as they have the bush league band stands on the visitors side. Forget about it.

 

Okay lets flash forward a couple years and Letcher Central finally breaks through to the finals. They play the 7 oclock game on that Friday night. A ton of people from Whitesburg make the 5 or so hour trip to Bowling Green to watch LC make history. Everybody gets there safe and sound only to find out the earlier game went into overtime and now their game is going to be 40 to 45 mins delayed. No problem!!!! They are excited and they should be...

 

Okay, now the game is over and it's time to drive home. It is now almost 11 oclock EST because of the delay and also being 1 hr behind. Factor in a early season snow storm in Whitesburg and the LC fans don't make it home until 6-7 in the morning. Sounds about fair to me!!!!

 

We pulled in at 3:45 a.m. this past year from Bowling Green. I am forturnate that I had a driver so I didn't have to make that drive at that time in the morning.

 

Sure the same thing could of been said about Paducah this past year if the game was in Richmond but the roads from Paducah are much more forgiving than the roads from the mountains.

 

Why not spend the night.....

I never had a problem parking there for state games and I was usually there for the majority of them. You need to know the ways out, there is more than one exit.

 

No issue parking for me at WKU either for what it's worth.

Having it in Western Kentucky is just ridiculous, it needs to be is a central location, and Western Kentucky is not it, that is a ridiculous location, and I Know the western people don't like it, but it is just plain silly to have the state finals in western.

I feel the same way about the sweet 16. Move it to Louisville where it is much more centrally located. It's just plain silly to have the sweet 16 at Rupp Arena every year.:irked:

I don't see where you think Louisville is centrally located. :confused: If you look at a map of Kentucky, Lexington is smack in the middle.

I think the field and facilities were an excellent fit but geographically I would prefer EKU.
