It's in Ft Wright

I remember when that whole shopping area was built. Until Thriftway moved out a few years ago, it was always full. Walgreens moving down the street is going to hurt them as well. I really misss the Steinmart that used to be there. Hopefully the economy will turn around and fill the stores again.

I live in Southern Indiana and the Pizza Hut in our town closed (seems as if overnight). We were in Louisville this weekend and we drove passed a Pizza Hut that was closed also. Perhaps they are all closing their Huts and going on down the road.

I really liked the Steinmart too. It seems like such a good spot for shops, hopefully they will fill soon. I heard that the Ft. Mitchell Kroger is being rebuilt soon. Any word on that?

Shops were moved down to accommodate the expansion, but it was put on hold. Evidently the economy slowed things down a bit. It is still going to happen, but not sure when.

Personally, I love that Krogers. It is large enough to accommodate a variety of brands, but not so big that it feels like a day trip to go grocery shopping.

When I go grocery shopping, I want to buy groceries...not porch furniture, clothes and hardware. Evidently I am in the minority.

The Kroger was supposed to be torn down this month and then rebuilt, but I heard it may be a couple more months before they start. I know at one time Kroger was considering relocating into the plaza behind Pizza Hut until their rebuilt store was complete but they decided not to.

The pizza hut in Highland Heights in the Lowe's parking lot was filthy last time I visited there a couple of years ago. I fired them and haven't been back since!

Better call now, maybe it will be delivered by time they shut the doors :sssh:

Does anyone remember when the Ft. Wright Pizza Hut was in the strip center and not a free standing store in the parking lot?

I know what you mean. My wife is getting tired of me coming home with new chairs and tables all the time!! I am such an impulse buyer but I have to stop we are running out of room.

No, we've only lived here for 12 yrs. We do love Pizza Hut pizza over other chains. Say what you want, but that is how it is.

I have been here a very long time. I remember them building the entire shopping area but I dont remember Pizza Hut being in the strip center. Was that when Ayres was there?

As you pull into the drive to the Ft. Wright shopping strip, Pizza Hut used to be in the building to the right of Walgreen's. I think Blockbuster and a paint store are there now.

They're not doing a super Krogers, are they? I thought the initial plan was to, but that has since changed because of the economy. Also, weren't they going to do some things for Beechwood too?

So the Kroger next to Beechwood is going to be demolished, then built back on the same site?
