I thought the lesser metal was around $400 last year and the gold was $800 plus. Has the design been finalized as last I heard Coach Mueller was waiting for feedback on pricing before it was made final.

Yeah, that'd be a funny addition. Maybe have a special "tag" made to attach to the ring by a string when they are presented to the players.

I know I've gone around with Henry and FC on this one before, but, I say this in all honesty, and really not as a jab to anyone: Does anyone else think that some of the ring designs could at least be pared back a bit? I really mean that with all due respect to the six teams who won this year, and all the teams who've won in the past.

 

I just feel like...wow, 600 bucks a pop, times at least 100 rings per team, times six classes - that's easily over a third of a million dollars spent on state rings in Kentucky alone. I guess you could see that as an "economy booster", but I see it a little more as frivolous spending, to be honest.

 

I mean, get the rings, sure (Henry & FC, I'll have you know I'm relatively more favorable to the idea following our debate :notworthy: ), but is the size, and furthermore, the expense really necessary? I'll readily admit that my state ring is rather gaudy and over-sized...which, frankly, leads to my wearing it so seldom.

 

Couldn't things be a little more simple?

Highland's senior's have designed their state ring. They have the same ring design for two different priced ring's. One $595 and the other $2000(Gold). I have a ? for teams that have purchased rings in the past. It seems the gold ring price tag is a little steep, have any other team purchased rings that cost this much?

 

Looks like gold went up from $850 oz to close to $1200. And by the looks of those babies there is some gold there. I do have one question, is there two different designs. Is that picture of the Senior rings or all players on the team. Iam sorta of left out of the loop around here in this household until its time to pay for this badboy.

I was somewhat surprised by the price, and yes, in some ways it probably is frivolous, but you never know if they will ever see another one....I hope it keeps someone employed and I'm glad to help.....having said that, I'm sure I could find more reasonable things to spend that money on. I think this might be one of those things, as a parent, you "do for your kids" and enjoy it.
