Good thing U of L signed Strong quick.

I would be willing to bet Jurich knew something about this.

I'm wondering why almost every single UC fan/some of the players are really angry about his move? Why can't they be happy for him? I know he should have finished out the season but why are people so angry that he's leaving? Mardy Gilliard said all he heard was he took the ND job and he left the banquet. He didn't even listen to what he had to say.

Because at the end of the day BK handled the process as bad as possible. 24 hours ago I was ready to simply wish him well and move on. After being VERY close to what went on, not so much. Saying he learned from the mistakes he made leaving CMU was one of many, many lies along the way...

I agree with gametime on his comment but also, I do not know IF ND leaked it or not but those kids knew he was leaving way before he even told him. He has lied at every aspect of this whole process. Until NCAA fixes this mess it will continue to happen. I have no problem with teams contacting assistant coaches but to contact the head coach before the season is over is wrong. And YES UC was wrong to do it with BK when they hired him at UC. If I remember correctly the school he was at, their season was not over as well.

I'm kind of surprised everyone is shocked by the way this was handled. This is what these guys do. And what they don't do is go to the media people and tell them what they are really going to do or what has really happened. I don't care how many "ties" we have to the program, or how close we are to some of those people, they are not going to divulge information to a person that has the ability to broadcast it publicly. Kelly's gone. No surprise. He may have had contacy with the ND officials for weeks. No surprise. The people with all of the contacts and close to the program stuff knew as much about it as the people on the "outside looking in".Big no surprise.

But Notre Dame gets to play in Big East bowls...so you've got that going for you!

This is exactly what happened with Brian Kelly left Central Michigan for Cincinnati. Central Michigan was not playing in a BCS bowl but it was the biggest bowl for their program. I don't remember Cincinnati fans being all up in arms when that happened. Don't hate BK for the system. Likewise if they hire Sumlin or another coach before they coach their bowl game I bet you won't hear anything then either.

There is no loyalty in college football. Players will leave at the first chance of a paycheck (with the exception of Tebow!) and coaches will leave when they get the opportunity.

Can you blame him? Notre Dame is down but its still Notre Dame. Cincinnati will never be Notre Dame. Cincinnati fans should enjoy the run while it lasted.

Only problem I have is that he apparently promised the UC players they would be the first to know. They weren't. He could have made that happen. Other than that I have no problem with him individually. Sure don't like how the system works though.

I agree with that, don't say it if you don't mean it. But I think he knew deep down as soon as he told the team the word would be out. So he never should have told the kids they would be the first to know.

This is a business. Why should any business be limited to when and how they contact a potential employee?

Should there be ramifications for the coach/employee who entertains other offers? That should be left up to each individual school to decide. It's Free Market Capitalism.
