Continued prayers. This is a wonderful family and I could only image the challenges that the family is going through. May God bless the young man.

Let's continue to pray for a miracle. I get chills thinking about things like this. Where there's life, there is hope.

I feel I have good news to report...Ethan's pressure number has went from 22 last night to 14 tonight. His mom and dad are in very good spirits, for what they are going through. We sat with Ethan for a little bit tonight and talked to him. He is not responsive but that is normal at the given state he is in. His body tempurature has decreased from 103 to 99, but had risen again while we all were there to 102.2...the next few days are the most critical for him. Tomorrow they are going to put a trec in and a feeding tube so they can start to try to wake him slowly from his coma. Thank you to everyone that has come by the hospital and the prayers. He is in U of L trauma unit on the 9th floor. One more great thing...Janie was holding his hand tonight and he moved his arm over his heart, the nurse said it was reflexes at first, she moved it back to his side for him to only move it back over his heart again. They all agreed that this was no reflex...God bless!!!

God be with Ethan, his family, and everyone there offering their support, Amen.

I had the wonderful opportunity to recently meet the parents of this fine young man and visit with the family. I was so impressed with the parents at a gut level after a first visit and just meeting them. The parents seemed very grounded for all that they have been through. I had the fortune to see a football picture of their son. It’s just hard to see a strong, young man be in a hospital bed in the condition that he is in. I could sense a deep religious faith in the family.

 

If you have a child in high school that is driving, we know of the risks of car accidents. As a parent, my heart goes out to this family. It really puts a lot of the trivial things in life into perspective. I could only imagine just finishing the high school football season and making it to the state semi-finals and then have this happen. From what I have read of the class of Monroe High School fans in their rivalry with Ft. Campbell, these parents reflect the same sort of class that I have read about the Monroe High School fans. I hope prayers can help bring this young man through. I witnessed the deep love of this family for their son. I ask God to bless them.

We continue to pray here at Fort Campbell for his progress and for his Family and friends.

I have a 17 year old son who plays football. When he left home this morning I gave him a extra long hug. Reading this makes me realize just how important every minute in life is.

 

May God Bless this young man and his family. Through Christ all things are possible.

My wife talked to Janie this morning. She is in good spirits today for she finally got some sleep at the Ronald McDonald house last night. Greg and Janie want to express their deepest appreciation for everyone and their prayers. This family is strong and we want everyone to know that this communtiy is tight. Just like most programs, this goes beyond football in Monroe County.

 

Janie says that Ethan is hanging in there. He is strong and very willed. After last night I have really good feelings for Ethan's recovery. This is a young man that scored 30 on his act the first time he took it as a sophmore. So intelligence and drive are definately inside this child. God is with him and his family. We will do our best to keep everyone updated as we find out ourselves.
