I just sent out a special prayer request for Ethan off my Facebook page. The more prayers, the better!

Greg, please know we are all praying for your family and for your son's full recovery. Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone. This is Greg, Ethan's dad. First of all, Janie, Cameron, and I would like to thank everyone for the prayers and support of any kind that has been sent Ethan's way since the accident. Ethan had a good night last night. They took him off of the sedation again about midnight last night and his blood pressure, heart rate and breathing have remained stable throughout the night. He is on C-PAP air at this time. The ventilator puts air with 40% oxygen to him at a low volume and he is doing the breathing himself. He has been on this or the last two days or so with good results. We get a little more movement each day so we are keeping our fingers crossed. He yawns at times and opens his eyes momentarily when he coughs. We have learned to take little things as hope. We take baby steps one day at a time. We again thank you for the prayers and concern and especially to Tom and Stephanie for being our link to you. God bless you all, keep praying for Ethan and us, and have a very Merry Christmas.

I already knew that this young man had received a 30 on his ACT’s his sophomore year. A friend of the family recently shared that he mostly likely would be a Governor’s scholar this coming year as well as in the running for valedictorian of his class. This friend of the family added with humility that he is even a finer young man.

The doctors told the family this morning that with the damage done to Ethans brain that the outcome is not favorable. If he makes it through the next three days the chance of recovery is still slim to none.

God has brought him a very long way over the past three weeks. You have to believe that he will continue to do amazing things for Ethan. :thumb:

I absolutely believe in my heart that Ethan will pull through this. Even if he is not 100% the Ethan we know, it is still great that he has survived something as tragic as this. He will always be the Ethan we love!!!
