Wonder if Dunlap will play?

Wondering the same thing.

I'm not sure that it matters.

The BCS Computers the poll that takes out the human basis of Conferences, Regions and the old boy network, made UC #2 in the Nation.

If that clock had been 00 in the Texas game against Neb instead of 01, UC would have been in the National Championship Game.

I wish Florida wasn't in this game, but I'll take what I can get. I will say Florida's defense comes back angry, and hungry to prove that the Alabama game was a fluke. Florida's offense plays like they did against the majority of their opponents this season, the defense dominates.

UF 24

UC 3

Gametime, I look forward to engaging in some competitive banter leading up to this one. It should be fun.

I don't think that game was a fluke. Florida isn't as good this year as they were last. Bama is better this year than they were last.

Doesn't matter, they're playing one of the top 2 teams in the nation anyway.

If Cincinnati beats Florida, they'll most likely get the respect that they think they deserve. And if it happens, then they'll deserve it.

Depends on what time Happy Hour ends.

As much I love the Bearcats, I gotta go with the Gators.

No they aren't as good this year as they were last year, but that would be hard to match. Last year's team was one of the best teams in CFB history. I'm not disputing whether or not Bama is better, because they are clearly better than Florida. Their defense isn't as bad as it looked last night, I can guarantee you that.

So if UC beats Florida, they will get the respect they deserve. Even though that means absolutely nothing. I am sure that would make the UC players feel better know well at least we got respect now. Even though that would show that they could have won the National Title if just given the chance. Cincinnati shouldn't have to earn respect to play for the title, they should be given it for being undefeated. Its a shame that college football decides its champion the way it does, its just not right.

It's not, but that's how it is. In the end, 119 teams don't get to play for the National Championship. Some schools are more deserving than others to get a shot, but for the most part the team that has won the National Championship the last few years has been the best team.

Beating UF means that UC could win the title? Not so sure Bama would agree with that considering they had little trouble with the Gators.:idunno:

UC gets the respect they deserve IMO. What more do you want? They are in the BCS. THey do not have the type of defense that wins MNC's. UF will show that. How about don't let teams score 40 points in a defacto championship game? That's bad defense and in this current system it has to be punished IMO.

Florida should win the game by a comfortable margin (2-3 TDs), but as we have seen before the sting of missing out on the title game in the last week of the season like Florida did can have an adverse effect early in the Bowl game. If they can force some turnovers and hang around into the 2nd half anything can happen with Pike slinging the ball around. Urban and BK have become pretty tight over the last two years, and you know they are going to love preparing for each other...

^I can agree with that. IMO, UC needs to be balanced against UF. Teams that have had success against UF the last few years have been able to run the ball and hit timely passes. I don't know if they want to go in throwing the ball 40 times, UF's better in pass defense IMO, especially their DL. JMO.

I will agree there, it will be interesting to see if Florida experiences a let down after getting embarrassed last night. I don't think they will, but anything can happen, and I don't think it will be the blowout some believe it will be. I will be interested to see what UC makes of Florida's athleticism and speed on defense.
