I cannot see Florida being able to completely shut down UC like many believe. There is a reason UC is still undefeated. UF may win, but I do not see Florida having the capability to beat down the Bearcats. All year Florida has looked poor on offense, really missing Harvin and Murphy. I do not expect that to change the last game of the season.

^^^IF UC cannot run the ball, they have no shot in this one.

Let's go Bearcats!!! :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

However I still Florida winning by at least 2 TD's. Hope I am wrong! :D

How so?

First of all, they didn't go undefeated.

They also weren't dominant in the SEC title game or National title game.

It still was, look at the roster, and the way they destroyed everyone. But I'm not arguing with you about any farther, so I'll leave it there.

Destroyed everyone? Ole Miss? Bama? Oklahoma?

Florida's defense will be the difference in this one. UC will score, .. make no mistake about it. But I don't think they will score enough to win. It will be closer than many think.

UF 35

UC 31

Exactly what I was hoping for since Florida lost.

I don't think that game was a fluke. Florida isn't as good this year as they were last. Bama is better this year than they were last.

For the majority of the season, Alabama clearly looked like the superior team...they seemed to struggle a little down the stretch though, and that created a little doubt.

I said it several times during the season, and I'll say it again. Florida missed Percy Harvin far more than people cared to admit. Perhaps they had guys with great speed, but Harvin was a special player. Just having the same 40 time doesn't replace a guy like that. He was good for several long gains nearly every game, and he opened the rest of the field up for Tebow and the rest of the offense. The Gators never had that this season and their offense wasn't close to what it had been with Harvin in uniform.

As for the matchup with UC, I'd like to wait and see how the Brian Kelly/Notre Dame thing plays out, because I believe it could have a negative effect on the Bearcats for this game. Otherwise, I think Cincinnati has a chance. I believe their offense is good enough to make it interesting if they're clicking. I am concerned on the other side of the ball after seeing Pittsburgh run the ball the way they did...you'd have to think Florida, with Tebow and company, could have some huge success on the ground, pounding the ball at UC's defense.

But, you just never know with these bowl games...nearly a month off, Christmas break, how will Florida respond to losing the way they did, who benefits more from nearly a month of preparation, i.e, do you like Kelly or Meyer better with a month to prepare? Bowls are hard to predict because nobody knows how these things will be answered...who thought Alabama would get manhandled by Utah last year? Who thought Boise State would beat OU?

^^It's also criminal to forget how important the loss of Louis Murphy was for the Gators.

I think the key to a UC victory is Isaiah Pead's ability to run the ball, so Kelly can keep the Gators D honest.

He already said Harvin, I was just adding Murphy in there as well Spikes. But, obviously both are missed.

Fine, virtually everyone. Satisfied?

I know, I fixed my comment, I didn't read his post all the way through. That's why I changed it.

His impact doesn't compare...Harvin was the guy who forced teams to game plan for, account for at all times, and they still couldn't contain him. So, not only did he get his, he opened the field up for Tebow and every other player on the field for Florida.

Had Harvin returned, they could have compensated for Murphy's production whether they replaced his talent or not.

I think Murphy made up for a lot in the receiving game, Percy was more of a running back his junior year, Murphy made the huge catches down the stretch in the SEC title game, and National Title game. He was the deep ball threat that UF missed so much this season.
