Just by judging from today's games

 

1. Ingram- Stepped up in a big game and ran all over the no.1 defense and made them look silly.

2. Suh- I fell in love with him after the Texas game, 12 tackles a force in the middle but I just don't think a d lineman can win the award but he's the best player in college football this year.

3. Gerhart- Stud has basically ran over everyone he's faced it's hard for a kid out west to win the award.

4. Spiller- WOW that's all I'm going to say he took over the Ga Tech broke his own record in the ACC CHampionship game. He's simply amazing if he's on a better team he's probably the front runner.

 

I agree with this. My exact same picks in the same order. However I do not think it's hard for a player out west to win as of late. Not with USC bieng out there.

Looks like a lot of people on here would vote based on yesterdays games alone.

Is this one of the more spread out Heisman races of the decade? I feel like there maybe be 4 or 5 good candidates.

I think it's more spread out this year because we don't have one superstar we have 4 or 5 really good players. I think it just shows were college football is a little bit down but the games are just as exciting.

Not entirely... But Yesterday was the the biggest games of the season(except bowl games) and great players rise to the occasion when the teams future is on the line! Most of the analysts yesterday even said they would wait until today or Monday to cast their votes.

Right or wrong I think McCoy will win because of is great career and a great season. If he doesn't win, Ingram will.

McCoy did enough to win the game. Sure Nebraska helped on the final drive but who's to say Texas wouldn't have won without the kick or the horse collar? They let the clock run down they had plenty of time without help. Bottom line McCoy and Texas stepped up and did enough to get the W. Which added another to his record wins. Sure he didn't have his greatest game against the Nebraska defense and niether would Ingram or any of the other Heisman hopefuls.

Colt has down pretty well but his decision last night almost cost his team it's national title hopes!

Personally I think Claussen is better than Colt. And the reasoning for that is; I think Claussen would out play Colt if he were at Texas. And I don't think Colt would do as good as Claussen did this year with all the rumors and adversity he has had to deal with in south bend.

But I do realize you are a Texas fan and will in no way agree with me. Just my opinion I guess.

This is great to have your team playing for the championship! And your favorite player in the Heisman hunt. We've got a month to argue and debate! I love it!

I want to say either Suh, Gerhart, or Spiller but if I had a vote it would go to Ingram. McCoy wouldn't even be on my ballot. Tebow might not be on my ballot. I would maybe put Golden Tate at 5 on mine.

I am of the mind that the Heisman is the most useless trophy in all of sport. What is it, exactly? It isn't an MVP, because I could make an argument that Dan LaFeavor (spelling) from Central Michigan is more valuable than anyone on the list of favorites. It isn't a best player award because Suh would win that hands down. It isn't a best pro prospect award because that isn't taken into account by most voters. So what is it, really? Is it the MVP of the best team- if so shouldn't an award like that not garner national attention?

 

I'm having issues with this award getting the attention it is going to get because I don't feel like the intent of the award is truly reflected by the winner of the award. If the award was truly going to the guy that has had the best season this year, it would go to Gerhart, IMO.
