Brain Kelly is saying he not going anywhere.

I think the coach stays at UC and if they win against Pitt and we lose to the Gators, we could play them and I don't want that.

It would get ugly in the trenches...

Alabama's defense would slow down UC on offense. They wouldn't shut them down completely but they wouldn't score 40 on them like they usually do.

^^BK is known as a Offensive guy, but he has a defensive background as well. He came in as a DB coach, moved to DC and then became HC at Grand Valley State. I think many really great Offensive minds have defensive backgrounds because it allows you to understand the game alot better. Kelly and Urban Meyer come to mind. IMO, I'd say his defensive knowledge is what allows for him to become a great Offensive guy. UC's D isn't great, but considering it lost 10 starters, it's not that bad. A guy like Leach on the other hand is obviously only schooled in offense. He claims that he can't read coverage, and it's obvious that he doesn't care about defense. JMO.

In the grand scheme of things is this really a good move for Kelly? The ND job just isn't a good job anymore aside from the money. He is closer to a National title shot right now at UC than ND has been in years. No coach has had sustained success at ND in about 2 decades why would it be different for him? I say stay here until something better opens but money talks...

If you're talking to me, I was saying I read it as "offensive" as in an offending person, versus "offensive" as in football offense. I had to read it two or 3 times before it clicked in my mind. I kept wondering...what's the matter? Why doesn't anyone like this guy? :lol:
