On the brighter side. If We do end up in the Papa Johns it doesn't conflict with the UK/UofL basketball game January 2nd.

UGA played a better schedule and finished with 4 SEC wins. I don't see the Chic-fil-A picking UK over UGA. Even though UGA lost to UK. You could get circular and say that but then UK lost to SC who lost to UGA. Bottom line is UGA had a better schedule and win on their last game and a better SEC record.

I'm happy we're at least in a bowl game, but I sure hope it's not the Music City Bowl. We've been there and done that.

I'm hoping for the Chick-Fil-A. Their reps may be interested in Auburn, BUT....UK and Auburn have identical records, and UK beat Auburn on the road. Plus, there's no way Auburn will bring any more fans to the game that the Cats, I don't care if they are closer to the venue than Kentucky.

I think it would be sold out either way so I don't think it matters who would "Bring more fans."

A mutual friend told me that not many people that has ties to the coal industry will go to Nashville and he refuses to go.

Any chance we can see N.D?

Chick-Fil-A representative was in the post game press conference and was seen speaking to Brooks... I'd put my last dollar on them playing in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta vs. Georgia Tech/Clemson.

The Wildcats will be heading to Catlanta!

They are already trying to lineup the Music City Bowl with Kentucky vs. North Carolina

I don't have a link but it's in the Raleigh News & Observer

I saw that too Wireman. I hope the Eat Mor Chikn Bowl picks the Cats though.

The bowl pecking order is currently at the Peach Bowl. I can confirm this I have a friend on the Cotton Bowl Selection Committee and the Cotton Bowl is taking Ole Miss while the Outback is taking Tennessee. A talk was offered at a switch of the two teams with the bowls, but the Cotton rejected it due to the distance between Knoxville and Dallas when compared to MS.

Music City Bowl for three out of four years?

That's certainly not progress. I would like to play Carolina, but in the Chic-Fil-A Bowl.

I liked Music City better than Liberty, but I've grown tired of our home away from home.

That is a nice match up, if it happens.

When will the bowl invitations be announced?:idunno:

Officially next Sunday, however, the orders are being determined as we speak and most of them will leak over the next couple of days.

A mutual friend told me that not many people that has ties to the coal industry will go to Nashville and he refuses to go.

That's a big deal in EKY right now, A bowl game in Nashville would hurt the city....

The coal industy sends a lot of money to Lexington, But now it's starting to hurt the city, Because they're against coal.....And people are refusing to go there and shop.

Here is how I see it.

Florida and Alabama will be in the National title game and the Sugar Bowl.

Capital One Bowl gets the SEC #2, which by default should be LSU (6-2, 9-3)

Ole Miss (8-4, 4-4) to the Cotton Bowl

Tennessee (7-5, 4-4) to the Outback Bowl

Georgia (7-5, 4-4) to the Liberty Bowl

Auburn (7-5, 4-4) to the Chick Fil-A Bowl. They have had their eye on Auburn the second half of the year.

Arkansas (7-5, 4-4) to the Independence Bowl

South Carolina (7-5, 4-4) to the Music City Bowl

Kentucky (7-5, 4-4) to the PapaJohn's Bowl

If that happens, the loss to Tennessee cost Kentucky the difference in the Outback Bowl payout ($3 million) and the PapaJohns Bowl Payout ($300K).

UK may have an outside shot at the Chick Fil-A Bowl. That payout is $2.4 million. Music City payout is $1.6 million.

Honestly, will Florida and Alabama play in the national championship after playing in the SEC Championship? I just can't see that :idunno:
