Why are the Louisville people singled out?

You're the one that jumped defensive with the argument, "Yea, but so does NKY". You didn't deny it, you submitted to the allegation and tried to defend yourself by saying "yea but other people do it too".

 

Why were Louisville people singled out, look in the mirror.

Maybe we have too many attorneys among our fans.

While all this is rather amusing, I do sometimes find it ironic that the T and X "Yeah, but look at the gate we bring in" crowd, is the same folks in College Football Forum lamenting the BCS's commitment to big money and not having a playoff. Its either justified by the money or it isn't boys, but try to be consistent.

When Trinity and St. Xavier play each other in the finals, it is a windfall for the KHSAA....now that it is in Bowling Green, there is no telling. But when they played here, you can bet that they did better than the other 3 classes combined.

I am not arguing that it's a windfall for the KHSAA, but there were other committments for PJCS that prohibited KHSAA from holding the game there.....so it's in Bowling Green.

 

Also, the moment that we (the fans of HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL) start to look at it from a business standpoint and not as a fan of watching these young men play their hearts out because they love the sport of football.......:ohbrother:

 

Maybe it's me, but I could give a rat's butt how much money is made by the KHSAA for this game. I could care less how far I have to travel from my comfort zone. I want to watch the Fort Campbell Falcons, those boys that are my son's brothers, those boys that have a passion for this game, I want to watch them raise that 2A trophy over their heads after the final second ticks off of that clock.....it's not about the money that KHSAA makes (at the gate of the T/ST X game) to me.

There's no doubt there are some arrogant 6A Louisville fans, which is why I didn't deny it. Why isn't there a thread about the same people in NKY?? And look in the mirror? :lol: :lol: I post maybe 15-20 times a year in the HS Football forum, and none of those posts are arrogant towards ANY region. Might wanna do some research before you make snide remarks. :thumb:

The difference with the BCS is that the member schools get that money, not the governing body.....I wish we got to keep the gate from next week's game....but alas, no.

You have a very vested interest in that you have nephews playing....5-6 years from now, while you are still an FC fan....how far are you going to travel to watch them? It is very easy to follow them now. That's what makes the top programs so interesting in that they do have a follow, and the vast majority of folks in the stands no longer have a "vested" interest in the current team.

The difference with the BCS is that the member schools get that money, not the governing body.....I wish we got to keep the gate from next week's game....but alas, no.

They can until they play the better teams from other states. Then, Kentucky, as with most other national rankings, is merely the poor, hillbilly relation.

I want it in Louisville because it is in my backyard.

 

I think that LT Smith stadium will be a more intimate setting, BG is much easier to navigate, all kinds of other reasons BG could be better. Louisville is much more centrally located for the majority of the state, though.
