The way he went down I was thinking that he tore his achilles, but a kid I talked to on the way out said that he'd had ankle problems in the past. Sorry to see it happen, but the Abner kid filled in pretty well.

I had a pretty good angle and it looked like he planted to throw and the ankle just rolled under on him with nobody even close to him. I've seen that before with players with the bad ankles. Once you do it, the odds of it happening again goes way up that it happens again and again. Really too bad, I hope he is ok soon.

Most of the Pulaski fans aren't back yet but from what we heard after the Somerset game from Maroon fans it didn't look good. His ankle was pretty messed up--I hope he makes a full recovery.

 

Congrats to the Bluebirds on a dominating performance and to Pulaski on a great season. It would have been nice to have had 2 local teams in Bowling Green next weekend but Maroons you have nothing to be ashamed of. Good luck next week Highlands!

He's a junior. I'm not sure if he plays any other sports but it sounds like it will take a lot of recovery time.

Wish all the best for the Pulaski QB and the ankle injury. Been there done that. Know all will be well but it will take time.

 

Abner is an athlete and a leader. I know that Monday starts a new year and all will be in the weight room on Monday. Work hard and I hope we meet again next year.

How much fun can this be for fans that either aren't diehards or have kids playing? Honestly.

 

Since it was the first time that PC has ever been in a state semi final game, the fun is in the journey.

 

Is it fun to lose that bad? Certainly not. Would you prefer that they don't show up to support the team? Then posters would rip them for having no faith and not supporting their team.

Just home from Highlands. Congratulations to the Bluebirds. They truly are a machine. HUGE crowd made the trip for PC. And yes, we would all do it again and again! Remember, we were not even supposed to be playing after week 1 of the playoffs... or week 2...or week 3... and so on! I can not tell you how proud I am of those kids! They will be back next year!

As for Zach Eastham, word we got from the team was a severe sprain with some ligament damage. He will be out for around 4 weeks. He is the starting point guard for the Maroons basketball team. Abner did a good job of relieving Eastham, especially playing with a separated A.C. joint in his right shoulder. To the SENIORS of Pulaski County High School I say THANK YOU!!! You have accomplished something no one in this school system has ever done; win a District and Region Championship! No matter the outcome of tonight's game you are, and forever will be CHAMPIONS! I, as do all Maroon fans, Salute you!

Glad you are back safe and thanks for the update on your QB. Yes the Maroons had a great crowd and a great group of kids. They played there hearts out.

Congrats Maroons on a fine, fine season. You all have a nice team. With only a small number of starters graduating, you should have a good season next year. Work hard during the off season.
