Congratulations Austin!! You deserve it and we are proud of you!!!!

Does the award come with one of Paul's "snappy" blazers? LOL

Isn't there already a thread for this?

Congrats!

Congrats........

One thing that surprises some people when they watch AC is that he is physical and does not shy away from contact. He is a very effective lead blocker, also.

Congrats.

Any idea who finsihed second, third, etc.,?

Any award he wins is fine by me. Great player and classy young man from a classy family.

Yes, it was in the Louisville paper as well. Seems like it could mean he is the leading candidate for Mr. Football, yet not necessarily. I was surprised that he played running back this year. Is receiver his best position? Did the "pounding" from running the ball contribute to his injuries this year?

I would say db is his best position...

Congrats to Austin!

He may be one of the best players in the state, but he won't win Mr Football, he missed too many games. MacShara, Hayden, Simpson and Andrews will be the four top vote getters.

As far as his position at the next level, it will either be WR or CB.

As far as Mr. Football is concerned, I have no idea what the criteria is but I would find it hard to believe that a player could/would win after missing four games on the season. Now I'm not saying he isn't one of the top players in the state, his colllege offers will tell you he is, but something tells me the winner will be someone closer to the heart of the state. I'm also not saying he can't play RB on the next level either, (as I speak he just got his name dropped on national TV by Al Michaels). On the D1 level I think he will be either a Wr or Db.

Congrats to Austin!!! Has he made a decision yet on College?
