November 18, 200916 yr I liked how fast we were able to score this game. The fouls will temperdown as the season progresses. I like what I saw out of Swop and Delk tonight. So far every game has revealed a different strength about this team.

November 18, 200916 yr How did the freshman PG look for the Cards? I can't remember his name, but the guy that us UK fans will love to hate. Peyton Siva is a player. Not his best game tonight, but keep your eye on him....he can play. I look for him to start before the season is over. Also very nice young man.

November 18, 200916 yr To me, if U of L gets strong inside play from Samardo Samuels, they will be a top 5 team in the country. I look for Rick Pitino to have a big season with the Cardinals.
November 18, 200916 yr ^ I agree. Samuels is the key. I don't know if such a high ranking is possible, but the Cards can be good this year. If he becomes a truly consistent threat to score on every possession, it will make the 3-point shooting that much more efficient.
November 18, 200916 yr UL looked good tonight, and have a very good team. I know I am a UK fan, but some of my fellow UK fans probably need to realize when we play UL it will be far from a guarntee win. UL has a very good team and very easily can win that game.

He's got the body for it, but as an "under the rim" post it is a priority for UL to have that kind of season. I also think Jennings needs to have a big season alongside Samardo for UL to get where it wants to be. Swop and Buckles will be solid, but another post presence, especially on D, is going to be needed in the long term. They will be fine at the 1, 2 and 5 but how the 3 and 4 spots perform will be the key IMO...

I think he could be a key factor to this years team. Is Goode hurt right now?
