6A Playoff Brackets and Predictions

Featured Replies

The lower half of the top bracket could pose some very interesting matchups. Very different from the past when the #4 and #1 seeds and the #2 and #3 seeds from the same distrct played each other. In the past some of these games were just a few weeks removed from when they played in the distrcts. Not much drama.

Manual got a tough draw. Opening with an 8-2 Conner at home could be difficult if the Manual Field gets more rain this week. Anything can happen on that field given its current condition. In round 2 Manual could possibly have to travel to Simon Kenton. This is where the matchups really get interesting. Should Simon Kenton win, this would force St. X to have to travel to NKY for Round 3. If Manual should upset Simon Kenton on the road, they would probably travel to St. X for a rematch of the highly contested game from a few weeks ago.

The past few years the first 2-3 weeks of the 6A playoffs have been predicatble and in many cases boring. There is some intrigue building this year!

I think Manual posses the biggest threat to St.x in the playoffs. They're a better team that there record shows.

Are you sure X would go to SK? In another thread someone said SK would go to X.

I really think the state championship will be the St. X and SK matchup within their own region. Nothing against Trinity but I just don't think that this is a typical year for them. St. X is the favorite at this moment with SK #2 right now, IMO.

I think Manual could be one of those first round upset victims many people aren't expecting. Conner's QB Nick West is one of the best in the state. Manual better bring their A game if they want to get to round 2.

SK would travel. Who's the favorite in the WKY part of the bracket?

You need to look at the bracket...there is no doubt in anyone's mind who the favorite is in the bracket SK has fallen into. If I am reading your post incorrect, my apology now...but if you are asking abotu the fav against SK in round three, it is a no-brainer (although an upset would be great)!!!!

West is definately a good QB, but Conner has only beat one team with a winning record. Manual shouldn't have a difficult time with them.

I am not saying Conner is the favorite in this game, but no one should be racking this up as a sure win for Manual.

The State Championship Game is pretty much SK vs. St. X. SK should be 9-0.If Miles was 100% against Henry Clay, SK wouldve won that game by double digits. If SK or St. X doesn't win 6A I will be very shocked.

I have seen Simon Kenton one time this season. It was in their home loss to Henry Clay. I know a lot of BGPrep posters are really high on the Pioneers, but I did not see the dominant team that everyone is speaking of. Henry Clay was in total control in that football game and I am fully aware of some of their shortcomings this season.

Miles Simpson played and play well. He had an 85 yard kick return for a touchdown and now I learn he was not 100% that game. He played the entire game.

St. Xavier is the team to beat in Class 6A and Trinity has got to be the second choice. Same old scenario. After that, it is wide open in my opinion.

SK would travel to St. X because SK is in district 6 and St. X is in district 3.

Odd district hosts in odd years and even district in even years if both teams are the same seed within their district.
