You are correct. Two different No. 7s. Frosh is McCoy; soph is New.

Nick True had a couple of nice plays tonight on Defense. The ones that stood out to me were the sack he had and the batted ball he had in the backfield. He is a load to get over and around. What is he....6'-4 or 6'-5? The best part of it is the Frosh will get these guys back next year to compliment a very talented 8th grade class coming up.:dancingpa

They may play a little of both next year. By no means are the dominate. Nice players but not dominate. They played up because they would have been dominate in "little league". JMO!

Interesting comment. I assume you are saying they will go straight to JV? How often does that happen at HHS - freshmen not playing freshman ball?

They did play freshman ball this year. Nick True and Tyler Schweitzer, both 8th graders and started for the Birds...

Oh Sorry....After rereading your post I think I know what you meant. To answer your question, No...it is not usual to have a Freshman play up on JV and not play Freshman as well. My personal opinion is that these 2 kids play Freshman again next year. Nick True reminds me of a little Sean Sester in build at the same age. We all know that Sean Sester ending up playing line in college as well as High School. I think Nick True gets moved to the interior line next year...My 2 cents!!!

Agreed especially when you see what HHS has coming from the FTJFL at the TE position. Not to mention all the other positions. Monday night at DCM will be exciting.

Isn't Monday night the "FTJFL 8th grade Bowl". This is a showcase of future S.C.I.T.

 

Ft. Thomas will get a first look at what these young men will be like playing together next year as Freshman. Should be fun!!!!
