Nick True had a couple of nice plays tonight on Defense. The ones that stood out to me were the sack he had and the batted ball he had in the backfield. He is a load to get over and around. What is he....6'-4 or 6'-5? The best part of it is the Frosh will get these guys back next year to compliment a very talented 8th grade class coming up.:dancingpa

Great job by both teams. You can see a lot of talent out there. Great crowd. Music was a little on the, well, lets just say get it under control because it sounds silly what they are doing. Varsity games are good but others, needs major help.

It was fun seeing a close game again. Not that I didn't have fun before.

Should be some good years in the future!

The Bir kid throws a nice ball...I see McCoy lining up at lb for the next 3 years....Great job Birds!!!!!

Why wouldn't McCoy play quarterback as a senior? Having said that, with added weight and strength, he could be as good or better than Roller at linebacker.

Congrats to HHS on wining the Freshmen Championship game.

Keep your heads held high CovCath the worm will turn in your next three years at CovCath!

Question, what happened to the McCoy #7 uniform jersey? He started out as #7 then changed to number 46 later in the game.

BTW thanks to the HHS people for being so nice to us as per usual. :thumb:

BTW great shots paNDA see you tomorrow at NKU?

I dont know but I saw him run over during a break in the action, maybe qtr change and Coach Mueller and Valarde the Varsity coaches were yanking it off and helping him put on #46. The kid runs so well he may as well had a Running Back number on tonight.

McCoy's Jersey got ripped!

Yup, saw that in the pictures that were posted on here. If you click on that link above you can see the left side of his jersey ripped from the armpit down.

The ripping

Looks like the ole "tearaway" jerseys were brought out of retirement just for the big game. Guess the refs caught on quick. And I think the jersey they brought out was the #46 that another pretty good running back at Highlands use to wear by the name of Justin "Blue Boy" Frisk.

What's up with the music? Do we have a DJ now for freshman games?

I don't like the whole "DJ" thing.. Maybe if Peach had something newer than 1986 it might be a little better.:ohbrother:

Highlands controlled this game from the start. The game wasn't as close as the final score. The Birds defense played great. They executed their game plan to perfection. There was no room for Cov Cath to run the ball and the give the short pass philosophy worked brilliantly. Of Cov Cath's 214 yds passing 70 probably came on the last drive of the game.

"Moose" McCoy looked a whole lot like Tebow last night. He could make one bruising RB, though. As for better than Roller...we'll see!
