Mississippi State comes into Commonwealth Saturday night with very similar circumstances as their last visit to Lexington two years ago. I'm sure everyone remembers what the Bulldogs did to Kentucky that year. The Cats are pretty banged up as Lindley will likely miss another game, Johnson is questionable, and of course Hartline is out. State, despite their losing record has played Florida, LSU and Houston pretty tough. I think a lot of people already have his chalked up as a win for the Wildcats, but I certainly don't see it that way. I think the Cats will need another Auburn like performance to come away with the win.

Kentucky's defense has what it takes to win, but the offense will keep it close for them. I thnk Kentucky wins a close one here.

Cats pull out a tough close win. Defense needs to be stout. I guess Ronnie Sneed will get his start at MLB. If Micah is not ready, let him sit a week. Or could they put Maxwell at MLB?

I have a bad feeling about this game.

No let down here. KY wins 31-20

UKcoachbrooks: Lindley ran with trainers again today. He is still sore. Micah will try to practice on Thursday like Locke did last week. Hope it works out.

Cobb has to be a big player here. MSU doesn't seem really fast when compared to other teams UK has faced, but they are well coached.

UK-28

MSU-20

Micah is questionable right now and I think the Cats really need him in this one.

I think Cobb has a big day and UK gets the win but a close one. 23-20

I feel bad picking UK two weeks in a row, but I would much rather see UK win this game, and I feel like they should. State will be in for a huge letdown after last week and their offense is bad.

I voted for MSU, but the more I think about it, the more I think you may be right on this one...Also, doesn't MSU play Bama @MSU next weekend? If so, I could see this being the typical letdown game for them.

Yes they have Bama up next but a bye week. Nothing would please me more than seeing MSU finish 3-9, wait take that back, Arkansas having another losing season under Petrino would be better. But either way this is like 2 years ago when MSU beat UK in Lexington the rolls are just reversed.

Not to mention Brooks has forgotten more about football then Dan Mullen will ever know. I don't root against UK football like basketball either. Brooks is an amazing coach that does things the right way, have to respect that.
