I like when teams change it up from time to time...

Black and Blue uniforms? I believe a lot of the Cats' fans on here have poked fun of or hammered Duke for wearing those in basketball! Its funny that is it now OK and even cool to wear them if it is UK.

You are right because a couple of UK fans speak for our whole fan base

I think it is a pretty good idea. Not for every game, but once a season to break out black uniforms wouldn't hurt anything at all.

Guess I'm just old school blue and white are the school colors. I'm with coach Brooks on this one. I must be closer to his age than most on here.

I am with you. White out would be better.

I agree with you!

Plus, UK has blue and white and those are good colors. There are lots of other teams with ugly colors......let them have their black outs.

There's only one school that can pull off the white out and that's Penn State. No one does it like them. I like the idea of the blackout, it's different. I'm sure Brooks will like it if they beat Mississippi State. :thumb:

Rich Brooks: "I haven't seen black in our school colors. I think we're blue and white. I'm an old traditionalist, I guess."

"They tried to sell me on black shoes & that didnt work well either"

They did confirm, however, that it will be a "black out" game for the fans.

This will not be successful, IMO. The team must wear black to make it work and it'll be hard to get the majority of UK fans to wear black. JMO.

I agree with Coach Brooks 100%. I guess I'm just an old fart too.

Good for coach.

Seriously, how many UK fans have black UK clothing. Especially coats or jackets if it's cold Saturday night. Not a very good idea IMO.

I have no problems with his thought process, but they should make it a blue out if that's the case. I don't think it works very well unless the team wears the colors, as well.

That is the other issue - there's no way to have a black out, a blue out or any out when its cold. It's one thing to dig through your closet and find a black t-shirt - it's a whole other issue to find a coat.
