October 28, 200916 yr Luck has nothing to do with it if you have a loss. If you lose a game don't cry because you aren't in the title. If three teams from BCS Conferences are undefeated they have some bad luck, or a bad schedule. But, no there's no difference there:idunno:. Did Texas get unlucky last year? I say yes. In the system we have, luck plays a big part in getting into the title game. When LSU lost TWICE and still got in, that was lucky.

October 29, 200916 yr If you lose and get don't get IMO, you aren't unlucky. :ohbrother: Was it LUCKY for LSU to get in WITH TWO losses though?
October 29, 200916 yr ^^^Yes. Anytime you get in with a loss you're lucky. But, if you have a loss and don't get in you can't blame it on bad luck. Especially now, SEC teams control their own destiny. We aren't going to see another Auburn happen to an SEC team, IMO. JMO.
October 29, 200916 yr I'm talking about their careers. Bobby has been a head coach for what five years? He had a good run to the Orange Bowl in a weak conference. All of the sudden he has "accomplished" more than a guy who's better around since the 70's? Next... Yes, he has accomplished more. He has a winning record overall, and he's won a BCS bowl....
October 29, 200916 yr Yes, he has accomplished more. He has a winning record overall, and he's won a BCS bowl.... So Coker is a better HC than Petrino? Petrino - 47-16, 2-2 in bowls, Orange Bowl win Coker - 60-15, 4-2 in bowls, 2-1 in BCS bowls, and a National title.
October 29, 200916 yr Yes, he has accomplished more. He has a winning record overall, and he's won a BCS bowl.... Thank you, With this....I don't need to reply

October 29, 200916 yr No, he hasn't. I think most would choose Petrino over Brooks (aside from UK fans) nationwide. Brooks isn't a very well-known name and has a career record well under .500. He probably has accomplished more, like you said he's been around for nearly 40 years. But, I think Petrino will accomplish more by the time it's all said and done, and will is a much better coach right now.

I agree Petrino could potentially accomplish more, but he is getting up there in age a little bit. I don't know how you could claim he is a much better coach right now? He beat up on the Big East, had the worst NFL career imaginable and now is struggling in the SEC. I think he will get things right at Arkansas, but it is no gimmie.
October 30, 200916 yr So Coker is a better HC than Petrino? Petrino - 47-16, 2-2 in bowls, Orange Bowl win Coker - 60-15, 4-2 in bowls, 2-1 in BCS bowls, and a National title. He accomplished more. But no, he is not a better coach. Bobby Petrino is a better coach than Rich Brooks.
October 30, 200916 yr He accomplished more. But no, he is not a better coach. Bobby Petrino is a better coach than Rich Brooks. This is an childish argument. I liken this to someone saying "my dad is smarter than your dad".
