I don't think the offense can advance a blocked field goal... maybe I'm wrong.

They can as long as it doesn't cross the line of scrimmage.

UT should be lining up for another kick after a 15 yard penalty for the bama player taking his helmet off.

Ball went over the LOS. Isn't that a dead ball in college?

It's not a dead ball, but the offense can't advance it. I didn't think it went past the line of scrimmage.

It was the same scenario for the Vols if somebody had just seen the ball, and picked it up. The smart thing to do for the Bama player was just to fall on it. No sense taking any chances.

They sure were looking for it. It seemed like the Vols thought it had gone back towards there end zone, because none of them were looking in the direction of the ball.

Hmm did not know that about the LOS.

OR, the play is the field goal which is blocked, play is over, player removes his helmet running to the side line then the Flag is thrown, 15 yards against Bama. If this was 3rd down you would be right. I can't remember what down it was, but if they called that after the kid made the play.....

Reminds me of Tim last year running into the kickoff team huddle against us. Helmet is off he is on the field and leaves the huddle two flags should have been thrown, they kick off from their 15, oh well.

I'm pretty sure it was 3rd down, and the player removed his helmet before the play was over.

I'm not exactly sure when the play is dead, but he took it off pretttttty quick.

He blocks two field goals to keep us undefeated against a huge rival and their new coach, he could almost took off his uniform WHOA! :jump:

Regardless of the helmet incident, the better team won today plain and simple and just proves a point that the Bama defense is just that good...

By the way even though its a pretty known commodity but Terrence Cody = Man Child

Cody's a beast. Alabama's offense was shaky at best. They should not be #1.

Who should be? They have probably been the 'least shaky' of any team.

Texas looks pretty good right now. BTW the comment about Bama could have returned the kick at the end for another score is wrong. The play was still live, while Cody was running off the field with helmet off, a Bama player fell on the ball then handed the ball to the another player who then took the knee, play was dead as soon as the bama player fell on it. Doesn't matter no, but a comment was made about Bama could have scored. If the ball went pass the LOS then game over, but the Refs stood and watched like it was a live ball. A penalty should have been call, anyway it is sugar coated. SEC refs have been horrible this year. The also blew a big call in the UF/Miss State game last night.

Wrong.

It's enforced as a dead ball foul from the succeeding spot, which would have been the spot where Alabama next snapped the ball.

They didn't call it because the game was over.

Thank you . Now the Tennessee fans can quit crying.
