Alabama 12 Tennessee 10

It's not a dead ball, but the offense can't advance it. I didn't think it went past the line of scrimmage.

It did clear the LOS. And the kicking team can't recover it once it passes the LOS unless the defense touches it first once it passes the line of scrimmage. Like Leon Lett did in that Thanksgiving game 15 years ago.

I've watched the reply several times, and couldn't tell if it crossed the LOS. The LOS was the 27 yard line, and it certainly looks like the ball lay at the 27, or behind that to me. I guess I'll need to go watch it again.

I think I heard on the radio that the call was missed and UT could have picked it up and scored.

Its not a good win, but this is Bama's first game of this sort. Florida on the other had has the UT game, Arkansas, and most recently MSU. And unlike Florida, Bama has not had the luxury of a bye week yet.

What about South Carolina and Ole Miss? Bama is clearly head and shoulders better than and their offense stuggled. I don't see any holes in either team's defense, both team's aren't great on O, but Alabama doesn't have Tim Tebow. That's the difference for me. IMO. And they played pretty well after the bye-week if you ask me.

Maybe Oliver Stone will do a feature film on the ending of the game. The kid blocked his second field goal and thought the game was over, removing his helmet is a done issue. We recovered the ball.

Have Oliver look at the onside kick where the Vol who hit Julio too early was offsides. Whats the rule on 10 yards on the kick? Two errors on one play, but that doesn't help the Vols.

They lose several players on their D next year and their RB, we don't.

I'm confused by this. As long as there is no fair catch anyone on the kick off return team is fair game.

I'm not really sure but you highlited where I mentioned the Vol was offsides, which is a penalty.

I read where its legal to block into the returner once the ball hits the ground, and doesn't have to go the 10 yards, and I've heard that you cannot touch a returner until the ball goes the 10...:idunno:

Bama only had 1 penalty in the game, which is well below the norm, while UT had 8 or 9, which is almost triple the amount in a game, and most calls against UT was when they had the ball on the tide's side of the field. Kffin, made a good point about why he settled for the field goal, at the end, he didn't want to risk another penalty.

LC, the Cats had none against Auburn, Kiffen also said he was worried about a magical flag coming out against his team which got into trouble.
