I couldn't think of a more miserable experience than watching either one of them, and if you put them both together it has to be pure torture.

 

I was kinda hoping that when they got in the same room together that it would be like matter and anti-matter and that they would both just disappear.

Just watched the interview and thought both Moore & Hannity were impressive (and surprisingly civil). Both made some good points. But I didn't see any evidence of one "wearing out" the other.

I might have been a little strong in my assessment, based on my bias:p

 

However, I did think Moore was very civil and didn't get caught up in shouting and counterpointed much better than most guests. Of course most of Hannity guests all already agree with him except 1 of the 3 on the "all American panel"

I agree. Hannity is one of the few talking heads that Moore said he would speak with. He says Beck and O'Reilly's "hate speech" are offensive to him.

Actually, Hannity didn't constantly interrupt Moore like he does most guests with an opposing view. A lot of guests would battle Hannity tooth and nail, given the chance to respond.

That's true and one of the reasons why I can't stomach Hannity.

I agree with Sean Hannity on the majority of issues, but it's hard to watch him sometimes because he usually shouts down any opposition. What I saw in the Moore interview was the exact opposite of what I expected--from both Hannity & Moore. I thought they both made some effective points.

It seems to me that a guy like Moore, of whom I'm sure Hannity harbors deep resentment, would bring out the worst of Hannity's shout-down thunder. I didn't see the piece, so I'm just going by what I read on this thread. I wonder if Moore asked for, and received, the pre-condition that Hannity not engage in his usual boorish behavior?

While the magnitude between their extreme positions in the American political spectrum may be great, I think they both know when the cameras are off they are the same, dishonest swine who will ignore any fact and trumpet any counterfeit argument for the sake of their own vanity. Probably best for them to play it straight around one another lest they both be exposed to their respective faithful.

I hardly ever watch Hannity (because by that time of night, the stories Hannity covers have already been discussed to death on other shows), and the show just isn't that interesting without Alan Colmes.

 

However, I did watch the interview with Moore. Like some previous posters have stated, I was very impressed with the civility of the exchange and actually impressed with the arguments put forth by Moore. Though I may have disagreed with much of what he said, he made some solid points backed up by logic.

 

I know some on here loathe FoxNews, but the Moore/Hannity discussion is a great example of a liberal vs. conservative discussion you simply would never see on many of the other news networks and probably another reason why Fox continues to reign supreme in the cable news world and continues to gain on the broadcast news programs.
