Yeah. A few of those kids have some length, but I don't think UK is looking for anyone not in the top 100, but I could be wrong (although the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 recruiting news seems to back my theory) :lol:

The way I see it UK is probably going to have atleast 5 scholarships available for next season. I think the odds are low that UK goes after any of these kids, but if a couple of kids fall through they may get a lower player or 2 that fits into the system that should be good down the road.

Elisha is a great player with a tremendous amount of talent. He is not, and I repeat NOT 5'8. He probably tops out around 5'10 or 5'11. Size doesn't matter if you possess the skills that are necessary to play at the college level. He will have a great senior season as will the rest of the team, and if they make it back to Rupp then expect more recognition for the young man. There are other D1 schools looking at Elisha and from who I've talked too 1 is in the SEC.

I met and spoke with this fine young man at the Ky. AAU tourney and again at Nationals in Orlando. He was very approachable and I found him to be very focused and driven. His play speaks for itself. He is a very impressive player, strong (physically & mentally), nice shot, drives to the hoop well, great passer/court vision.

I believe he is probably not major D1 at this point but is the type of kid who will work to get what he wants....including that shot at a UL or somewhere else.

He is a special player.....I wish him well for this season and beyond.

He didn't look 5'11" when I saw him this summer against other guards. Maybe 5'10" tops with shoes on. However, he is a good guard. I think NAIA or D2 would suit him better because of his size. It doesn't mean he couldn't end up playing at a small D1, I just think that he has a better chance of success at an NAIA or D2. Regardless, I'm sure he's capable of playing at the next level somewhere.

This board is for people to discuss and express opinions, whether it is bragging, hype, or not. I don't believe I've wished him anything bad. Reread my post. I never said he isn't suited or wasn't capable of playing D1. I said I thought he was better suited to D2. Only time will tell. Neither what the braggers nor naysayers say will matter in the end. The end results will speak for themselves.

Guys first off I will admit Im a SV homer so take it for what its worth. Elijah would be about 5'10. He finished the season last year at over 40 % from the 3line and has a lost art for a lot of high school kids the mid range jumper. I dont think anyone can question his ball handling skills. One day this summer the kid is in the gym by himself when I saw him he was already in a thick sweat. He proceeded to shoot jumpers for the next 2 hours. I honestly wouldnt guess how many he put up that day. And from what Ive been told if he wasnt traveling and playing this was his routine. Last year SV played Walton GA. They had Glen Rice Jr which everyone knew. They also had A kid by the name of Harrow who had committed to NC state. I know at one point this summer Rivals had him as a 4 star and a top 10 PG. Elijah was the best player on the floor THAT NIGHT and it wasnt close. Elijah picked his pocket at midcourt in the second half the crowd went crazy and the Harrow kid was done. Im not going to set false expectations about where he should or could go I just hope he reaches his maximum opportunity. If a bigger school takes a chance he could be one of those kids who come out of nowhere to have nice careers. Anyway way just glad to see our little hometown guy from Dorton KY get a little recognition. Also Kansas State has an assistant from eastern Ky and have heard they are asking around about him.
