September 28, 200917 yr This is the Bengals/Steelers game thread. My younger brother passed away two years ago from a brain tumor. He and I had big fun out of this rivalry. We actually attended a game together at PBS. We sit in the Wheelchair section on the 40 yard line. Just ribbing you guys out fun and brings up a lot of good memories. As soon as the clock ended my mom called me and ask me if I had his 85 jersey on. I said that aint funny and she said your brother would think it was. So enjoy your victory and dont pay any attention to me. Who Dey WE DEY!

September 28, 200917 yr First of all, congrats to all the Bengals fans on the board. I know you've been waiting for/wanting this win for a while. Secondly, IMO this game was a story about the defense. I think Cincy's Defense may finally be good enough to make them a consistent competitor. In years past, the offense would win them a few games by simply outscoring other squads. This year, I can see their defense actually winning them a few games. They got the stops they needed, and allowed the offense to win the ballgame for them. Pittsburgh's defense just isn't the same with out Troy Polamalu in the middle of the field. So many passes today I said to myself, "Troy would have made that play," or "Troy would have been there." The run defense has been average at best, IMO. As someone mentioned early, Pittsburgh HAS to learn to put teams away. Up 20-9 in the 3rd Quarter, you shouldn't lose, IMO.
September 28, 200917 yr As good an atmosphere as I've seen at a Bengals game in a LONG time. The place was rocking from pregame to the final gun. Lots of missed opportunities for both teams. Ugly, ugly fitst half for Cincy. The difference this time around - Bengals seem to be tougher than in years past - especially on defense. They simply made the bigger plays when the game was on the line. Doc, they tell me that your loss was my gain re. tailgate and tickets. Hopefully you'll get to a game soon.:thumb:

We can have the same challenge when your Bengals come to Pittsburgh. This time you can man up before the fact.:thumb: I don't mind reading through all the chest thumping by Bengal nation. You deserve it. Especially the ones who are here and post in these threads thru thick and thin. You have earned my respect for doing so and I congratulate you once again on the win. On the other hand, the folks who dusted off their Icky Woods t'shirts around 7:00 last night and are running their yaps are cracking me up. Last time they posted in a Bengal thread Clinton was in office. Classic! And I too wonder where Mr. Schue has gone.
