September 28, 200917 yr I cannot remember what ESPN analyst it was, but they were talking about the mark of a good team is being able to convert while in the red zone and not simply kicking a FG. Despite dominating the first half, Pittsburgh was not able to put the game away and they settled for FGs. A lot of that is due to the Bengals bend but don't break defense. The Bengal offense made plays when it counted, but overall there should still be some signs of concern. This more so shows how much the defense and overall skill level of the team has elevated. I have heard many say the Bengals could be 3-0. They could also just as easily be 0-3. Being in these type games and actually being able to pull them out is the difference between making and not making the playoffs... :thumb:
September 28, 200917 yr Hold on pal, I called you out in the thread and you never responded. Not too difficult to crow after the fact. You missed your chance. We can have the same challenge when your Bengals come to Pittsburgh. This time you can man up before the fact.:thumb: I don't mind reading through all the chest thumping by Bengal nation. You deserve it. Especially the ones who are here and post in these threads thru thick and thin. You have earned my respect for doing so and I congratulate you once again on the win. On the other hand, the folks who dusted off their Icky Woods t'shirts around 7:00 last night and are running their yaps are cracking me up. Last time they posted in a Bengal thread Clinton was in office. Classic! And I too wonder where Mr. Schue has gone. You called me out after I simply put balloons in the thread. I do not believe you were going to put the avatar up either which way but its ok WHO-DEY!
September 28, 200917 yr You called me out after I simply put balloons in the thread. You weren't gonna put the avatar up either which way but its ok WHO-DEY! :clap:Come on JA. I asked you if you wanted to take the old avatar challenge, and it was crickets out of you. All you had to do was say yeah and today I'd be sporting a Bengal avatar. And if you think I wouldn't have held up my end of the bargain, you don't know me very well. Like I said, if you're game, we'll do the same next round.
September 28, 200917 yr Im still pumped about that last drive. Thats what good teams do and Im not used to seeing that out of the Bengals. I dont think I could have wrote a better ending to that game as a bengals fan.
September 28, 200917 yr There were noticeably less Steelers fans there this year than last. I'm sure the game being this early in the season had a lot to do with that. Hopefully the Bengals will continue win, and we'll see less and less of them the next few years.

I dont think I could have wrote a better ending to that game as a bengals fan. Carson's starting to shake the rust off. In our first 3 games, that's actually 2 game winning drives* at the end of the game for CP and the Cincinnati offense. *should have been in Denver game.
September 28, 200917 yr There were noticeably less Steelers fans there this year than last. I disagree. My crew and I thought there were twice as many as usual, and we've been going since they moved into PBS. Maybe it was just our section?
September 28, 200917 yr Second game in a row, that a dropped TD cost the Steelers a win. They scored on the next drive when Big Ben got in. So do you really think if he catches that pass they score on both drives?

September 28, 200917 yr Don't worry, boys. No need to go checking the admissions lists at local hospitals. Was visiting the parents this weekend, and they're the only people left in the world without a computer. Steelers left too many points on the field. I thought the decision to kick the FG on 4th and goal from the 1 was pansyish, and set the tone for the game. I kept thinking the Bengal defense was going to get tired, and it never happened. They were outstanding and so was the Bengal O-line. Did Carson even get breathed-on heavy, other than the time Casey got him? Certainly not when it mattered most. Troy P can't get back soon enough, but in the meantime it's time for the LBs to be leaders.

I've been to the last two and definitely thought there were way more last year. It is hard to tell because the yellow towels make it look like there are more than there really are.
