Missed FG. My fault I thought it was the first TD drive in the 4th.

This game may have been decided on 4th down.

 

Bengals converted 4th downs on the final drive and also the monstrous fake punt.

 

Steelers kick a field on 4th down from the one. And then go for a 4th and dont convert and give the Bengals good field postion for the field goal at the end of the half.

 

The Steelers were running and throwing effectively the whole first half and had Palmer rattled. This looked like the same games they have played the last few years. The Bengals get the FG and at halftime realized it was just 13 to 3. They came out and won it in the second half. From a Steelers fan perspective it was a replay of the Chicago game. This team better wake up and realize they have the bullseye on their back. The Steelers linebacker play has not been good so far. In the second half I realized that the announcers hadnt even called Woodley's name.

There were noticeably less Steelers fans there this year than last.

 

Quite a few yellow towels in the upper deck looking into the sun, but that seemed to be the only place. Looked like maybe one fan in 6 or 8 overall.

I guess I am still stupid for hanging onto my season tickets. This game alone was worth about half of what I paid for my tickets. Just an amazing time that every sports fan should enjoy at some point. I'm not trying to act like we won the super bowl or anything to win in that fashion when we got dominated most the game was awesome. And to top it off it was against the Steelers.

I disagree. My crew and I thought there were twice as many as usual, and we've been going since they moved into PBS. Maybe it was just our section?

 

There were more up top than the bottom but not even close to the normal amount of the Steelers fans. I would say the economy might have played a bit of a role in that.

Palmer said in a quote that the spike on first down was called in from the bench. This kinda maintains that Marvin Lewis still is the worst head coach when it comes to managing a game in the NFL. I know I have definitely not overlooked that, and that stuff will end up costing them a game one day if they dont start being smarter. However as you said when you win, it does cover up the mistakes. So as long as they keep winning, then that is all that matters.
