You mention keeping Collinsworth out against Boone to make sure he is healthy but St. X has 20 Collinsworth's and will be able to name the score. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt that I am after seeing what they did to the "big boys" from Louisville.

Here is this what you want me to write? The Birds are going to dominate X and win by 5td's..St.X is the best team in Ohio and top 5 in the country. Why should I say something I don't believe is going to happen. It will be close for a while then the size, speed, and depth will start to take over. 42-21 St. X...I hope I am wrong I just don't see the Birds pulling it off..Sorry to disappoint you BH..JMO

 

Raiderbird and I sometimes agree to disagree, but he is right on with this assessment. We are going to have trouble putting points on the board and no way will this defense play with St. X. Roller can't make 20+ tackles a game. I am sorry a lot of boys are going to have to step up on the defensive side of the ball. Roller needs help, and sure they are good enough to beat the teams so far on their schedule, but not in this class. I am pulling for them like no tomorrow, but it will not happen, unless they come with something we haven't seen to date. I am hoping they keep it respectable and learn from the game what it takes to be the elite of the elite.

This one will be ugly early and late. X is on another level. X-56 H-7

A few years ago Columbus Desales put the biggest home loss on Highlands that anyone cares to remember. The big difference in the game was the unstoppable offensive line surge of DeSales. In their losses to Cincinnati Powers, Highlands has often hung around for a while, and even lead at the half against Moeller & Elder. I praise the Birds for their fearless scheduling. They will be ready, and will give it their all, and there is nothing wrong with being humled in the process.

I am a big HHS fan and I would like to think they have a chance. The problem is that they haven't played as a full team yet and really put everything together. Now I hope they do Friday night and keep it close but if they play the way they have lately it could be a long night for the Birds. Best of luck to them!

I'm curious to see how 170 X men plus their coaches and waterboys are going to sqeeze into the Highlands visitor sideline with a capacity crowd.:idunno::lol::lol:

I have read that Saint X's pass defense has not really been tested so much to-date, and if there is a relative weakness it may be that... so Highlands is going to have to really do well in the air in order to hang around.

 

I think Highlands may really struggle on the lines.

 

Highlands' defense will probably have to play a perfect game for HHS to have a very good chance at the win.

 

They have a big front line probably averages 6'4" 250, with a couple of 6'3" LB's who are gonna be bringing the house at Bardo on every play.

Actually I wasn't comparing anyone to anyone! All that I was doing is showing some examples, to the many highschool athletes that read BGP, that the underdog sometimes wins when they are not suposed to!!! (you do realize high school kids read this website don't you?? ) I'm just trying to be a good role model and show a positive attitude for all kids playing sports in highschool or anywhere else.
