I believe Scott has just a couple of chances for a win this year and this might be one of them. Scott looked bad against Conner there is just no other way to put it. There offense is so one dimensional there is no need to ever scout them if you are playing them in the future. I feel sorry for Zach Sowder because he is going to take a beating this year I bet with everything he has to do for the team he is going to be one tired kid come the end of the season.

 

I wish the Eagles the best but unless things change on offense it is going to be a long season.

 

I did hear that the Junior High team at Woodland might be improving so I guess a couple of years down the road could be bright for the Eagles. The change in the Coaching staff last year might have boosted morale a little but I have not seen much of a change on the field. I was told we should not judge the team by the score on the board this year but judge them on improvement after each game I guess every coach would say that but teams are judged by wins and losses and that's the bottom line and with that said the Eagles will be in familiar territory again this year.

 

Losing an extremely versatile player like Reyes last year to graduation hurt this offense badly.

Something tells me that the Jags will be 2-0 after this game but I wouldn't be suprised to see the Eagles win.

Coach Borchers and staff have done a great job with this program, and I look for the success of last week to continue this week. I think Cooper will have another big game on the ground and win by at least two touchdowns this week.

I predict Scott wins. Cooper may feel good when playing Shawnee, but Scott is more talented. It will be Scott 13 - Cooper 6.

 

I completely respect your opinion, but I am just curious as to why you think Cooper will only put up 6 points in this game? :idunno:

Cooper will dominate this game.... They have way too much talent and now they have the first year jitters behind them. The final 6 games will be tough and I do expect some, if not all losses to the big boys. That being said, don't be all that surprised if they beat 1 of the big 3 (Ryle, Conner, B.C.)

I agree they will dominate this game because Scott has trouble with stopping the run but I don't think Cooper will beat any of the 3 Boone Schools.

You hate to kick a school when they are down but this almost has to be looked at as a must win for Scott. No playoff implications or anything like that but if Cooper in their second year has already passed Scott thats gotta hurt.

 

Another thread about Scott frosh loss to Holmes talks about when Scott will turn things around but if help is still at the middle school level that makes for another couple of long years.

I just don't see how they can even get close to that number with the limited number of weapons they have on offense.

 

If your an opposing defense all you have to do is key on Sowder. If you stop Sowder, you stop Scott's offense.

I'll take Cooper by 14. Should be a good game to watch. I expect the Jaguars to have another big game on the ground.
